The scope I am getting is available with two different reticles - MRAD and MILDOT. My setup will be a one trick pony only to be shot benchrest @100m for groups. I have no plans to use it for anything else, so no range estimation is necessary. Which reticle will be better for this purpose?

Yep - I like the MRAD also - more visability.

You know - life is way more easier without sooo many choices. The last time I was in at the local shop looking for a Trijicon for my CQB - the fellow behind the counter showed me their catologue - I was screwed - an hour later i walked out having made a very uncertain choice ....

All good in the end though!

That is why I never "shop". I do my research at home and then just go and buy what I need.

Will not matter cause at 100m, you will only worry about the central cross hair. I would go with a FCH or target dot so that you can have an uncluttered view of the target.

If you must choose between these two, then the MRAD by virtue of being less obstructed.

My suspicion is if these reticles MUST be part of the scope, you are not looking at a scope that maximizes both optics and mag for pure target shooting. Big tactical turrents with coarse adjustments, low mag and possibly weaker optics may not be ideal for driving them all into 1 hole.

But since you have not stated the actual type of shooting and set up you will use, this is speculation.

Thanks.
The setup is Tikka Varmint with SWFA SS fixed (I am still deciding on magnification). It will be pure paper punching seated off bags for groups.
P.S.I can't comment how I am getting the scope.

Save your money. Their optics just aren't as good as other options today for the money and hassle.

In my case it is all under $500 to my door without any hassle. What's better for that kind of money (and I don't want to stretch my budget)? Need x16 or more mag - I know it is an overkill for this range but this is how I like it.

high mag scopes with nice clear glass suited to precision paper punching.

Weaver and Sightron make very nice high mag scopes for around that price point.

If you are cool with what you are getting, go for it.
