Please stop posting your hunting videos.

No, no it is not, that is exactly what has gotten us to where we are politically. It's by hiding what we do, blemishes and all that we have been reduced and weakened. The entire point of this website, right from it's founding day was to be an outspoken venue for gunowners and all they do with guns. Hiding is not an option. If you think it is, you are on the wrong site.

Exactly!!!!!!!!

good point.

As the hunting season comes in to full swing people just can't control their desire to post hunting videos. STOP DOING THIS. Questionable kills are being picked off sites and making the news. As we're all aware things don't always go as planned stop showing what we all know can unfortunately happen. Don't give non- hunters a video record to base their arguments.

How does posting hunting videos on youtube upset antis? They are'nt sponsored pop ups on your screen. If you search for hunting videos and then are offended by said video, you might need to see some kind of head doctor.

They keep bowing, scraping and supplicating themselves trying to justify their very existence to a group of people to whom gun owners will always be abominations.
It must be an awful way to live constantly trying to live by someone else's expectations and standards.
You'd think they'd each have enuf self pride and personal dignity to be their own person.

The media are continually pulling stuff off the net to masquerade around as news.
I see the OP's point, if you don't want to be on tv, don't post #### on youtube.
If you do, at least try to do it in a way that shows people responsibly participating in legal activities.
Boring won't make the news but that 1000 yd "sniper" shot at a moose might.

Couldn't imagine feeling the need to trophy hunt let alone post it online. I have never hunted but I would have a problem shooting a majestic animal, clean kill or not. I do want to hunt eventually- but all I'd ever want to humanely kill are pests like coyotes and boar. I'm man enough to openly admit on here that the grizzly video brought tears to my eyes.

Plus, seems like an awful lot of work to clean and quarter a moose or whatever else out in the bush and then drag it on home. F*** that lol as far as food goes, the grocery store is good enough for me.

We should not have to be ashamed of our passions or hide in the shadows....there are many fantastic videos out there that showcase responsible, ethical hunting. These serve to showcase the spirit of hunting and to maybe even introduce new people to the sport. Hunters not only carry on a great tradition, we are also on the front lines of conservation. If you have videos that capture the true spirit of hunting and the great outdoors please share them, you have no need to be afraid. That being said, we in the hunting community should speak out against anything that contradicts the true spirit of hunting and conservation...sharing our experiences won't give us a bad name, the bad apples in the bunch will. Instead of hiding let's take every available oppurtunity to educate people about the true nature of hunting and conservation.

People are Idiots alwayz having to post sh*t online.video's, their guns, hunt kills whatever..Selfies!! That vid of the grizzly is disgusting . Embarrassment for real hunters , not humane and total lack of respect . I never understood hunting grizzly doubt they will eat it ...vids like this def hurt image of hunting.

Have hunted for forty plus years and I'll talk guns and hunting with anyone who's not an idiot. A video that shows a clear kill is not the problem, although I don't get the whole post everything in life on the internet. I get the point that news services just can't control their desire to show the bad as opposite to the good and will never show the good, that's not news. I'm just saying if people have to post stuff think how it's going to be received, will the reaction be positive or negative.

Just my opinion....I'm not a hunter, never have been...my wife and daughter are Vegan and Right to Life for animals people against mass produced agriculture killing of animals...it is horrendous and we all know it...Now all of that said...I am not against hunting and the great adventure and culture of hunting in Canada...I never have been against it and I never will...My wife and daughter understand that and to some degree get that...their point is the animal death factories and the way they behave...
Hunting to me is something that is inherent in our NA culture...It has been a way of survival for thousands of years and today many choose it as to the opposite for many reasons including moral reasons...
I believe that if someone wants to post their shot/kill of a deer or whatever that is up to them it is a free country...If I want to check out the video that is up to me...If I can learn something from it such as I killed this deer with a .243 handloaded with this powder and this case and this projectile then that in my opinion is ok...For those that post their pic of a coyote killed out in the wilderness 500 miles away in the hinterlands who was minding his own business...Well I have issues with that...My opinion...
In other words I take exception to the killing of animals or people or any other living thing for the sake of ego....

I think you have contradicted yourself a few times in what you have said about hunting.. I don't believe you can say you are not against hunting however do not believe in someone hunting a coyote 500 miles from nowhere minding it's own business..some people make a living hunting/trapping.

The statement in regards to your wife and daughter being vegan and against mass killing I understand their cause...that being said it reminds me of an encounter with a horseback rider trepassing on my hunting property screaming at me in my tree stand, calling me a coward, murderer..etc..etc..etc..yelling killing animals are wrong..all while she was riding with a leather saddle wearing leather boots, leather gloves and leather chaps..I questioned her in regards to where her leather items came from..and oddly enough she ended her rant and rode away..

Just saying..

Large divide on this topic here.

Well I feel you can post your video. But post a clean kill. Putting up videos like this grizley will never help out hunters. And if you feel it's fine, show that video to an anti hunter as well as a clean kill one and let me know which they feel is more humane.

Also if you cannot put down your hunt in 2 shots 9 times out of 10, then I do not feel you are an ethical hunter. Either you are using the wrong caliber, shot is too far, hardware not set or not proper, or you just have bad placment! One shot one kill!

Now if you video a nice clean kill, why not ! Gives the antis less to talk about ( the y will still talk but I'm sure it would not go viral) plus why would you want to post a video of you sucking as a shot?

^ Agree.

It's called hunting, not shooting.

The point is to "hunt" yourself close enough that one shot should be all it takes to make a clean kill with the firearm and skill level you have at your disposal. If you're not 95% sure you can pull it off, keep hunting till you can.

Everyone has a point in this thread. Pretty sure that we want to post, properly edited, clean kills. Perhaps the OP's wording in the title set some people to saying "dont tell me what to do".

Who would not agree that we want one shot, one kill. It is simply just not always possible, personally if i have taken time off and spent considerable money, i am going to keep shooting until its down or my gun is dry. Posting that, probably not, especially if it appears inhumane. The reality is that posting or not posting has no bearing on how i feel about my experience. Posting a less than ideal situation does our sport no favors, and even puts the poster in a bad light.

A video was made of a caribou. It had been gut shot and its intestines were hanging out. The caribou was staggering and tripping on its own intestines, disembowelling itself. A group was laughing, thought this was really funny. They were upset when the station manager refused to broadcast the video over the tv network.

From what I read here, there are those who disagree, and believe that this should have been broadcast.

Well, I guess I am on the wrong site.
Looks as if most members here think that Inuit Broadcasting should have aired this video.

I dont think you are. The op said hunting videos.

What you describe is completely unacceptable regardless if it was videoed or not.

If you're ashamed of the fact that you own guns and hunt maybe you should get rid of your guns and quit hunting.
All the other sports like fishing, golf, hockey, baseball are televised and posted on the media including pics.
What could be more rough and bloody than wrestling, professional boxing and other martial arts?
FFS quit hiding in a hole in the ground.
Shooting and hunting are nothing to be ashamed of.
