So shooting an animal and being proud of it give gun owners a bad name?? Like I said, post vids having fun on your hunt, laughing after a kill, selfies with your kids and kill, because that is why we hunt...fun. Anti will anti no matter how the sport is protrayed, I won't PC up my life for the sake of anti's, and so you shouldn't...

I don't remember seeing anything on this post that says we shouldn't post successful hunts. What seems to be the consensus here (and I agree wholeheartedly) is that pictures of wounded animals, gut shots, etc., have no business on the Internet.
 
All these threads trying to micro-manage peoples behavior over the internet... are kinda getting old. I personally like seeing peoples hunting videos on youtube or wherever.
 
Simple, one word, discretion. Start using it.

Do you think the girl at the end of the bar is chubby? Maybe but do you tell her?

It is legal to film intimate videos of you and your partner(most places) Does that mean you post it on the web? Sure it is legal but not sure I wanna see a members white arse doing the boogaloo on here.

Film your hunts, please do, share the experience but please use discretion and common sense.
 
Good idea. Let's all rally to shut down wild TV and all the hunting shows too. Did anyone ever stop to think that cowering in fear of what non hunters/ gun owners might think of us is what got us into the position in the first place?

That being said, if you post non ethical hunt videos, get ready for a ####storm.
 
Anyone who makes a good shot, after a successful stalk or stand, is going to be excited. I know, I am. But I don't hoot and holler, laugh and yell, high fives all around while videoing it. Hard to high five it when I am usually alone. Videos are difficult when you are alone as well. Heck, I'm lucky if I remember to even take a picture before I start gutting.
That being said, I don't watch many hunting videos theses days. Too many have that "hold my beer"-"shoot from the road" attitude to them.
But, hey, that's just me...

Shooting an animal and wounding it and not killing it, or gut shotting it and hooting and hollering like you should be proud of it is disgusting.
last deer i shot, she dropped on the spot and died relatively fast because of a spine shot. would i post it ? no because im not proud of it, she dropped faster than i had anticipated and hit her in the spine instead of a heart lung like i had wanted, and she flopped and flailed all over the ground for a good 2 minutes before she stopped. it wasnt something id have wanted taped. it is certainly not something id have wanted posted on the net.

the deer before that was another clean kill, but the bullet on exit obliterated the shoulder on the far side and as the deer ran the 50' into the bush she was being hit in the side of the head by her leg. she died peacefully under a tree where she lay day and relaxed and bled out. a much better shot than my last but still not one id want posted on the net.

You my friend have common sense! Unfortunately, some hunters do not and they want to prove it to the rest of the world...because they can.
