Look at the line of STI pistols. If you do not want to spend a lot the Spatan is a very good gun for the money. They work and they are accurate.

Yes i forgot, that one is included.
Now i have surfed the web for all the reviews and i now know that there is no "perfect" 1911 out there. Just when i thought i have decided, some odd negative review comes out.
My purpose for the 1911 is for stock target shooting. I will not replace any part unless it fails or breaks.
Also, any of you heard about the 1911 BUL-M5? It's a polymer framed 1911 made in Israel and has good feedback.
Will you guys buy a polymer framed 1911?
The 2011s etc RARELY run as well as the single stacks and in Canada you are buying an extra 2 rounds with that fat grip and decreased reliablity...Ok boys, it's down to 2.
1. STI hi cap worth 1.5k
2. Colt + upgrades worth 1.5k
Now, for 1.5K, i can get 2 .45s too you know, lol
so this will be my "3rd" option.
3a. BUL-M5 (which is actually a kimber hi cap w/out the "Kimber" brand 699.00+tax) and,
3b. XDM 45 around 750.00+tax.
Though i still have to wait for the XDMs since they have not landed Canada yet correct?
.....almost there...
Update:
I found a Colt XSE 5" SS Bnew for $1525.00+tax+shipping.
And someone is selling a Colt XSE Commander SS for 1099.00 including shipping, hopefully no tax with 2000+ rounds down the tube.
Which is a better deal?
