This is not USA. This is Canada so why mention USA?
The Rcmp can charge you for anything and it is up to the crown to approve the charges.
If the Rcmp have reasonable grounds to charge you, they will be protected by the CCC and any other laws.

Right! Indeed!
How could I possibly confuse this country with a country where gun owners stand together by collectively supporting an effective shooting rights organization and fight for their rights.
That's why the cops are running roughshod over Canadian gun owners.
Because they're allowed to essentially because of the kind of apathy apparent in the quoted post.
The philosophy of defeat and surrender.

Where you from BC? The terminals most definitely do give total full access to the FRT in the mobile terminals at work. Trust me ;)

Listen OP, call the detachment and make an appointment to speak with det. Commander to speak about this. If they don't big deal it won't make it past first appearance. Your only accused of this crime not convicted of it :)

But in the meantime they'll probably revoke his PAL and ransack his home for guns.
That's definitely a big deal.
That kind of arrogance is both infuriating and scary.

Amazing the reaction without any details. Haters in every corner are out in strides.

Let's hear some details?

Well said.

Well I have the FRT up on my computer screen right now, Ref # 132110 both the 8.5" and 12.5" are listed under this number and show noth as non-restricted.

Unfortunately I cant email this page or cut and paste, it appears to be a secure program.

The bottom line is this, our OP does not have to prove he is innocent, Crown has to prove his guilt. They have to have a firearms expert provide evidence to Crown before this will ever see a courtroom. I personally would request the Detachment commander pull up the FRT and look for himself. Then he needs to educate his officers.

Personally I wouldnt waste a dime on a lawyer.

Valid point. I think however a lot of people who own guns that are NOT clearly designed for hunting and that surpass any and all regulations by 6 inches or more (etc.) live under the stress of not feeling secure in their ability to own such firearms without fear of harassment and persecution despite believing in our right and it's validity under the law to own it. Simply we do not trust our own government/legal system/LEOs or even fellow gun owners. I think we as Canadian gun owners by and large live in an atmosphere of mistrust and antagonism even within our own community and THIS is exactly the state of mind the antis want us in.

Do a "Prnt Scrn" screen shot and email that pasted into the body of the email or to a Word document (.doc).

I can save it as a PDF , but there is a security feature which prevents me from copying and pasting or attaching as an attachment.

Only a suggestion of course but if you screenshot it first it will/should save locally on your PC to an image file that you can then do as you wish with such as convert it to a .pdf or upload it etc. (I have no idea if this breaks some copyright law or something but I know there is a thread on this form with a copy of the Puma's Mare's Leg FRT in .pdf)

The crown and cops know the gun is legal.
They've known it from minute 1 of this farce.
They're just trying to intimidate and scare him into surrendering his guns.
The next time the cops interview him they'll offer the infamous "deal" that has worked so many times.
Agree to surrender your guns and we'll drop the :bsFlag: charges.
Mark my words.

Clicking the "Prt Scr" button captures an image of your current screen. If you then open MSPaint, click on the "Selection" tool, and then right-click and choose "paste," it will paste the image of your screen into MSPaint. From there you can save it as a standard image and upload it to the net.

FRT this is the best I can do right now....there is no way of saving or copying this document out of the program I'm using.

Huh?

Open the doc, zoom in until it looks good on your monitor.
Press F11 for full screen
press "PrtSc" (print screen) button on your keyboard
Open MS Paint (likely in programs-accessories)
Click on the "edit" tab at the top of the paint screen
Click "Paste" and your screen when you hit PrtSc will appear.
Click "File"
Click "Save as"
Them select jpeg from the list, saved to desktop.

There's your picture :)
