Polishing a 686

Are they easier to clean when polished? Seems like they would be. If my Ruger GP100 was stainless I would have to polish it up, I think they look great.
 
The previous owner of my 686-3 polished it very well. I have continued with Mothers Mag & Aluminum with several 1hr sessions.
After several hours in front of the TV my 686 is a mirror finish. There are no swirl marks, and the cylinder looks the same as the frame/barrel. I love it. It is easy to clean. If you choose to polish yours you should NOT touch the top strap or you'll get unwanted reflections.
