Try shooting the AUG or FAMAS when you convert direction of ejection.

You are correct about the L85.

So during a firefight you have to stop and convert your weapon to shoot from your weakside?...........Excuse me mister bad guy can you just hold up a minute while I convert my gun?..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................OK game on:eek:

Not a factor with the bottom ejection of the P90 design.

Here's a question, if some one made a bullpup lower reciever for an AR15, or AR180B for that matter, they would be legal, would they not?

It should be legal if the stock part is milled as part of the receiver.

I'd buy the ACE and this..............were it not made by whackoes. Look close at the bolt carrier.

It's also an aftermarket stock which is illegal. It uses a standard AR15 lower, so the rifle can be fired with out the "stock".

Try again.

Hmm... Just based on the pictures, I tend to think that is just a mock-up.

I don't see any linkage between the trigger group (which also appears to be fitted to an underside rail like the fore-grip) and the reciever.

Even so, it's fugly as hell. With no need for a trigger loop, the buttstock could be made much more streamlined and less blocky.

Maybe not. if you take the 'stock' off, the safety detent will fall out and the takedown detent spring will do what it usually does.

We have until at least Feb 2007 to find out, according to the website.

As to the ACE bullpup, it is a stock. To use it one simply removes the standard pistol grip and attaches the new "butt". The trigger group attaches to the rail and uses a linkage to cam that moves the regular trigger on the lower reciever. I've had the pictures for that thing for months direct from ACE. The drawings I got clearly show that it uses a standard AR15 lower reciever with the add on pieces to make it a bullpup.

Prohibited. Full stop.

That's curious. Where do the drawings indicat the linkage is? I'm looking at this:

And it looks like the trigger group just screws on. There seems to be a faux safety/selector there, but the origional one is still accessible through the buttstock add on.

I'm just having trouble seeing where the mechanical linkage between the original trigger group, and the bolt on assembly would be.

That pictures shows a model that looks different from the drawings I have. Look closely between the forearm and the reciever, you can see what appears to be the linkage rod.

In the drawings I have (which are a year old) the linkage has a pivot on the front reciever pin and then extends back down to a cam in the rigger guard.

I think that this would look better anyway:

My quick concept of a new bullpup reciever for AR15 along these lines laid over the ACE image:

And by itself:

I think it is much slicker and more ergonomic than that ACE add-on. If only I could produce it :D. Anyway...
