Did your M-305 require any modifications, or replacements like the rear sight, or barrel inedxing, a bigger problem or whatever?

I really want tone but don'tlike the idea of a crapshoot, and having to pay $25 to ship it back to them to get replaced....

Do they offer handpicking of M-305's so we know we are getting one that doesnt have these common problems?

Mine was in great shape, except for the fact that the aperture in the rear sight was off-centre, so I replaced it. Other than that, it was fine, and it certainly shoots well.

It is no wonder why Marstar does not sponser this site, everyone here assumes and posts what they believe, which often has no relation to reality.

Why do you state that you will have to pay $25 to ship it back if there is a problem?

What part of IRONCLAD GUARENTEE did you see this from?

They are the only company in Canada that does not put a disclaimer on 'shipping costs' or other legalities relating to warranty, etc. Yet they are still slammed for what they offer!

Before you start attacking them, look around and check out what you get from some of the others. ?Military Surplus M305's? no warranty of course, as is; don't call us - call Norinco! Oh it's $699 also cause we want to make at least as much as SA does.

If your M-305 / M-14S comes in bad condition contact the supplier...
if your supplier doesn't fix things, then post here.

Till then, please stop trying to destroy every last gun dealer / importer that has survived in Canada.

Mabey YOU should read some of the other threads around here of how other dealers who also don't sponser this site, or have an "ironclad guarantee", and sell the M305 for pretty much the same price as marstar, have handled returns.....like Al Simmons or Dark International.. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60158&highlight=simmons

I didn't get a Marstar , they were out .
I got one from Dark , works great so far .
no problems from them , it's a Norc too and didn't look like the rifle / box was gone through . It did come with all three mags though .

Hitzy - you should learn how to read. Seriously.

What does your post have to do with return shipping cost or the condition of rifles?

Nothing... just another personal attack, like you always do.

Maybe next time you'll address the points I make... but I doubt it.

You'd have to bury the hatchet and get off the high horse....

The rear sight on mine was not drilled on centre, it was a bit low. For the price of the gun and the fact that this is a common feature on all Norks no matter who imports them, I replaced it with an M-1 rear sight and am happy. The extra $30-$40 it cost me is a far cry from shelling out $1200 for a Springfield that may or may not come with other problems which would have been a ##### to warantee cross border.
YMMV

i know at least 7... make that 8 , marstar purchased norinco m305's, all functioned flawlessly right outta the box. No sight issues that i am aware of. The personal experiences related to me by my friends pertaining to these rifles is what has gotten me onto the m14 kick now too.
Also in regards to marstar, they are an awesome company to deal with and work very hard at keeping up to the standards and practices they have long strived to maintain.

Just pointing out that you only made reference to Marstar & Lever Arms as the only suppliers of M305......(who else does that? Oh yeah, Marstar... ).
Just opening your eyes to some other dealers with the same prices and (better) service as marstar but they just don't harp on an "ironclad guarantee".......

just recently purchased used m305 that was origionally bought from marstar last year.the barrel is a little out of index, but i'm not worried about doing this on my own thanks to postings from guys like hungry and scullboy.marstar offers an excellent deal as well as dark and others.mine has not been modded in any way and it shoots great as is.for less than 500 dollars i'm definatly not going to complain.whats to complain about.

Ummm.... I'm not ATTACKING anyone, and I am in no way trying to DESTROY anyone....I was just asking a fair question.

I was unaware that Marstar covered the shipping cost when sending a gun back, and when sending a replacement. A few posts I have read on here gave me the impression that it was not covered.

I've never bought any M305 from Marstar, but I'm sufficiently brainwashed by Hungry and others, that I somehow "know" there is nothing wrong with them.
I believe M305 to be the answer to all my problem, including marital.
I seek counsel as well...
