I don't know how to do the "poll" thingy, however I'll go this route.
I'm aware that there are many fine firearms on the market today, however I will only mention a few.
If you had $10,000, which rifle would you choose from the following?
1) Blaser R8
2) Blaser K95
3) Mauser 98 Standard
4) Dakota 76
5) Dakota 10
6) Rigby Highland Stalker

c.t.smith and go celebrate the anniversary with the wife after at KFC in the Fiero! :d

I’d build one personally, get a nice integral rib tapered half octagon barrel machined (5500), really special piece of black walnut (1500-2000), sights and a Rigby peep (1000), donor Oberndorf (2500), rust blue it yourself with a perfectly carded velvet blue. It isn’t overly hard and the sweat time is worth a mint in one’s appreciation of it.

Go all out. The budget won’t cut it though.

None, I'd buy a Kimber or Fieldcraft and enjoy the rest of the money.

Honestly the upgrade to a truly nice rifle from production offerings is the very definition of enjoying the rest of the money. And the good ones, particularly a classic like an original Rigby .275, will sell for more than you paid when you let it go.

So there's my real answer to the $10,000 question, find an original 1905-1939 Mauser actioned British sporting rifle from Rigby, WR, or H&H and actually use it as intended. Hand it to your kids where it keeps gaining value, or sell it for 25% more than you paid in five years when you bore of it. They're not making any more of them.

I guess I will have to contact him via email or telephone for his price list, pending what I want. I first checked Ralf Martini, man his prices skyrocketed, so that's a no-go. My second choice was Chris Griesbach, must contact him as well for prices. Then again, just go off the shelf from the list in my first post.

You want a truly nice gun, it starts at $10,000. A bespoke gun starts at $20,000. A bespoke gun with two barrels starts at $40,000. Considering the time it takes, it’s actually a good deal when you account for the hours. You pay more for the stoned mechanic apprentice working on your car.

Interesting that the Highland stalker fits in there - last I was at CSC the only ones they had left were $12-15k with some nice options. I'd like to see a base one to compare!

I would be looking at the Dakota or Mauser though over the Rigby I think, just based on aesthetics.
I have handled a couple R8s in stores and even though their ergonomic claims seem to make sense, I just prefer the looks of a more classic rifle.
