I have enabled the ability to select more than one answer for those who own, or have owned more than one M&P.

Thanks!

Sorry to ruin the poll guys... But when I first got my M&P it ejected every casing right back into my face... now its only about 1 for 10 so not so bad :) and at least the gun always went bang...and well has never not fired. I have found I always have issues with new handguns... even my sig the slide wouldn't lock back on an empty magazine for the first 200 rounds...

However I did have an issue at first with the metal/plastic bottom piece that holds the palmswell grip in place. it would slowly come lose while shooting and fall out... lost it in the grass on the pistol range and got a new one, no problems since.

I have only put maybe 1000 rounds through it but with no problems. I have one mis-fire but that was due to ammo malfunction not the guns fault. I have been pleasently surprised by it. I bought it on a whim and cause I got it cheap.

I bought mine after i read about it in 2 magazines. Shoot it all the time, about 2500 rounds through it so far and not a problem. I clean it after every session too, just to make sure she don't gummed up. The palm swell tool on mine is tight as well but i guess it's better then being loose and falling out all the time.

We have run several on the range. They work reasonably well, although there are some small parts breakages periodically. I have sent one back twice for major failures (slide and barrel). The warranty work was not particularly fast, but it was undertaken.

I have a M&P .40 and love it. Only problem was after changing the striker spring to a lighter one, I got a few light strikes, changed back to the original and it works fine. Agree about the pin, I used a pair of plyers until it loosened up. Also, I thought the mags were way to hard to load, bought a mag loader "Up Lula" or something like that, makes reloading the mags a lot easier.

Maybe it just thought you were ugly and didn't want to be seen with you? :D

Curious, per thousand round (some are more popular and see more use). In no particular order what are the top three or five for the 9mm's in the rental pool in terms of durability.

I've had problems with one mag (and only one of them) falling out - I've marked it and use that one as my stripper mag and all is good.

That and my M&P 9mm does not like the reloads that my husband's Sig will eat with no problem. Still a fairly new gun (haven't been able to get to the range nearly enough), but that will be solved with a weeks worth of holidays coming up :). I will try reloads again, once it has a few hundred more rounds through it. Overall, I am very happy with it.

M & P 40

I entered the second option, although minor. A few fail to feed on light slingshot slide drop when I first got it. Other than that, a few fail to fire problems caused by me from reloading (high primers). Now it eats whatever I throw in it.:D

Love mine, I've put about 1000 through it and it has only had 2 hiccups - a stovepipe (wife had a weak grip on it) and number 2 was a double feed (wife failed to fully seat the mag during a tactical reload). I personally have never had any problems with it.

works perfect when i do my part. sometimes i forget to run the mag up hard enough. some of my mags seem to resist insertion a little more then the others
