I picked up a k98 mauser this afternoon, and I'am not too sure of its background. The receiver has a coat of arms stamped on it, as well as the left side of the buttstock. Waffenampts are stamped all over. All parts are matching. The barrel in front of the receiver is stamped 41D 26 3. The serial# has an H prefix. The buttplate has PRG and what looks like a Christian cross stamped on it. The sling has L&F stamped. Deep bluing( about 95%), Oberndorf marked. Rifling is sharp, hardly looks fired. I read somewhere that even though the Germans were at war, they made and sent k98's to various allies, also Lugers to Persia, and other countries. The wood has a few handling marks on the buttstock. What's it worth? Thanks in advance for any information.
