Positive resolution! P&D Enterprises came through!

Well if P & D don't make this right, they sure won't sell me anything again.
Faulty from their shelf should be returned by them, not the purchaser.
At least in my humble opinion.

I have to agree, and it should be clear when first purchased how defects / warrentys are handled

I purchased a CZ pistol that had a part fail before my one year warranty was up. The CZ warranty was through a different dealer, I sent my broken part and a new one was sent to me. It worked out just fine in the end.

I am reading all these warranty issue and biting my nail trying to figure out were the hell did Iput all my receipts and did I even keed them:s

I always keep my receipts. I have a friend who throws everything away and has been burned several times when he needed warranty work on things. I have 15 year old receipts of large ticket items that I bought because I needed them for the warranty period then kept them afterwards in case I sell it. This goes with original packaging as well.

For instance, I have a Tissot watch that I kept the price tag, receipt, manual, warranty card, inner box/outer box, links, etc for about 10 years now.

The other guys are the ones you buy a pistol from on the EE and it comes wrapped in bubble wrap as he never kept anything. I have everything that came with mine, including the receipts.

Bottom line, keep your receipts and original packaging at least until the warranty expires.

One of those research questions you need to ask before making a firearms purchase is how the distributor deals with warranty issues.

For what it's worth:
I recently purchased a nib Ruger from WSS in Edmonton. I discovered that it had a gouge in the chamber which obviously made it past the QC people at Ruger. At any rate, I returned it to WSS to exchange it for a new one - which they didn't have, and being a Ruger, were unsure on when a replacement might arrive. So they refunded my money right then and there.
This happened once before with a shotgun I had purchased from them also - it was faulty from factory. Full refund, no questions asked.

Consider again the amount of flak WSS sports takes in general about service and rants about big box stores etc.

So last night I suggested that I send the CZ back to the distributer, they offer me an in store credit and then I purchase a replacement gun.

This evening I received a call from P&D and they said I could do just that and the distributer would pay the return shipping on the return. WOO HOO!!!!!

So now I have a Browning Citori Crossover Target 12ga. inbound. Yippee!!!

I love happy endings!

A happy ending and a better shotgun.

Why should you have to send it back? P&D should have handled this from the start instead of you going through all the BS. This is why I prefer to buy from Cabela's and WSS. Smaller independent stores are great when they sell you something but when you have a problem then it's a different story. I know because I have a gun in for warranty from day 1 and it was unfired. Have over $1500 tied up and no gun for 14 months now. It's a long story...the gun was not bought from P&D, it was from Sporteque.

Agree with Jack rabbit.
I had in the past issue with P&D over their warrantee policy. Unfortunately their policy is once you pay for the product it is your baby buddy. P&D does not stand behind their product, which they are more then happy to sell to you.
Contrast with WSS who will give you a couple of months and if the firearm malfunctions and need warrantee repair, bring it in and WSS will handle the warrantee issue for you. Cabelas will do the same.
P&D should not need a lot of online pressure to stand behind their product. They would create more confidence and good will if they too would adopt the we stand behind our product philosophy.
Too bad since P&D have a good little store with friendly helpfull employees, they got that part right.
