Possible CZ 858 reclassification?

Don't think anyone else has said it yet, so I registered to ask if anyone else has heard this as well.

I called the CFC Firearms Technical department, on two days this week, after I heard about the rumored reclassification. They confirmed, according to them, that the CZ's were indeed under review for reclassification, but would have no information available until the RCMP issued their final verdict.

After contacting several dealers, I was told, that the most likely result will be issuing Restricted-Class to all versions of the rifle. Too many have been sold to hope to ever track them all down, if declared prohibited.

Sorry if this is misinformation or unneeded, but I'm concerned too, and just want to know what's going on...

Faith Goldy asked the RCMP about this already, and they confirmed that it is not being reclassified. I think what you're hearing (and someone else heard something similar) is misinformation from less informed staff who are confusing the issue - what the RCMP is doing is examining the Wolverine shipment and determining their classification, and not reclassifying ALL CZ 858s.

I'm inclined to believe a professional. Source:

...why do people ASK for locks?!

Don't like it...move it, half the people asking for locks are the ones doing the (stupid) posts pages earlier...

Good link Superlative
Everyone READ this link and lets end this thread

Find the jerk-off that is responsible for these bureaucratic reviews, and get his name out into the public, have your local MP query him on the efficacy of his/her crime-fighting priorities.

That said, my 858 was lost in a tragic Xerox machine accident.

OK. FOR EVERYONE WHO REFUSES TO APPEAL TO REASON: From the Faith Goldy article:

In previous correspondence, I asked if the Kriss Vector and CZ 858 were up for re-examination as well? Here’s what RCMP tell us:

”There are no reviews currently being conducted on any other firearms.”

For the love of all that is good please stop this nonsense.
