those are some pretty bold statements there bud! I am a member of various gun organizations in Canada and the U.S, I have written 5 well-worded letters to my local MP's and I've gone out of my way to fins out more about this by calling local gun shops, and various suppliers (yes, even Wolverine). So don't tell me I'm sitting on my ass doing nothing....my post was meant for those internet ninjas that stir sh*t up and talk trash (ahem ahem) and think they know everything about the situation...people spread rumors and things get blown out of proportion...I suggest you read my original post once again, and take it for what it says. How many letters/phone calls/research have YOU done?
OK, high and mighty,
I'm interested to know what you would consider "blown out of proportion."? Please tell us how much of this BS is acceptable to you, because all of this is too much for me. Things are already blown out of proportion. Are you ignorant enough to believe they aren't coming for your guns? Really? With all your research?
So why the hell would you ever suggest people calm down and wait?
That is simply ridiculous! What has sitting around and waiting done for anyone, let alone gun owners in the last couple decades?
The best thing that could come to gun owners is a huge sweeping ban, followed by mass hysteria, and panic!
What we need is to focus that panic, and get more people doing what needs to be done, and that is pressuring legislators!
We will lose in court everytime, as has been seen with every challenge so far.
As has been mentioned the change needs to come at a legislative level, and it needs to come while we have the CPC in power.
On a more personal note, I don't give a rats ass how many letters you have written, or how much research you have done. Your comments come across as if to suggest people do nothing. I read it again, and still see no mention of what needs to really happen here.
What needs to be done, is that firearms owners wake the f#@k up, and realize nobody is safe. Everyones guns are at risk, and we all need to get angry, and yes even panic a little bit.
There is a sense of urgency now more than ever, and your comments just really rubbed me the wrong way.
