Possible CZ 858 reclassification?

Very scary that something can be seized at the border with no explanation. Surely there must be some recourse?

There are now two shipments of CZ858 that Wolverine imported as non-restricted and restricted firearms being held by Customs with no written decision of the Minister with respect to the exact reason why. Wolverine has not being allowed to inspect the seized shipments.

Quick question if I may...How long have those shipments been seized thus far?

Thanks,
Cal.

Shipments arrived in Canada in Dec and March. Wolverine has already paid out over $100,000.00 in storage fees! Sorry no more questions and answers until Wolverine has this resolved.

Thanks for answering my question John. Please keep us posted as relevant information/results become available.

Thanks again John,
Cal.

Than you guys! Enough said...this is enough info for people to pipe down and sit tight while we, and Wolverine, hear from the RCMP and the CBSA. There's no worst enemy than the rumor, and when rumors start flying left right and center, you create panic. Why should we stress and worry about something we don't even know will happen? Could it happen? yes, will it happen? who knows....let's just see what news come in, and we'll take it from there.

Are you f--king kidding me?

We need some friggin panic to get people like you off your ass, and writing letters, or putting some form of pressure on the gov.

So if your 858 is safe you don't care about the rest?

This is not about a single gun, it is about all of the past present and future reclassifications and confiscations that ARE GOING TO TAKE PLACE!

Wether you like it or not, or you want to believe it, this is just the beginning.

Go hide your head in the sand and ignore the threats that are at your doorstep, but don't expect to keep your guns if that is your attitude!

Seriously WTF?

Sad, I hope things get resolved for Wolverine FAST!
The best thing we can do is support them with our purchases as they have been leaders in bringing quality firearms in for the Canadian market.

Still scary how someones property can be siezed or delayed, call it what you will, without explanation or immediate recourse!

A big thank you Wolverine for being there for the firearms community!

Hey guys, I know things are frustrating right now but we got to work together here. I am also sure we have no idea of what frustration levels the dealers are having right now. We can't get answers if they can't get answers. The best thing to do right now is to write letters to MPs and such. Hopefully we can work with the RCMP and figurte this Thing out ,even if that means sorting out a few rifles that this problem may have started. It kind of does look like they're just trying to flex their muscles? The problem is it's costing a lot of people money. If we could Storm into those warehouses and grab the Crates of rifles Iam in but I don't think it be a good idea .Don't even get me started on what the government has done with WSIB to screw the small Business owner. It's just not the firearms Community feeling Frustration with the Canadian government.

That is for you, a single individual doing it to a State or person! When the state does it to you, its always in the best interest of national security, or some other lame excuse!

Stripped into pieces with all the pieces welded like to a 4x8 sheet of steel like and exploded diagram! Bring a forklift and hope you have a place to store it!....

We all need to fight so I am with you on the lifetime memberships! going to do it next pay!
Wouldnt it be great if the rcmp sent a prepaid package to send the rifle back. They'd get it, lol and 500 pounds of scrap steel. Wouldve been cheaper to just buy the rifle.

Thanks for the update John.

Could I ask whether these were strictly CZ's or included CSA rifles too?

those are some pretty bold statements there bud! I am a member of various gun organizations in Canada and the U.S, I have written 5 well-worded letters to my local MP's and I've gone out of my way to fins out more about this by calling local gun shops, and various suppliers (yes, even Wolverine). So don't tell me I'm sitting on my ass doing nothing....my post was meant for those internet ninjas that stir sh*t up and talk trash (ahem ahem) and think they know everything about the situation...people spread rumors and things get blown out of proportion...I suggest you read my original post once again, and take it for what it says. How many letters/phone calls/research have YOU done?

OK, high and mighty,

I'm interested to know what you would consider "blown out of proportion."? Please tell us how much of this BS is acceptable to you, because all of this is too much for me. Things are already blown out of proportion. Are you ignorant enough to believe they aren't coming for your guns? Really? With all your research?

So why the hell would you ever suggest people calm down and wait?

That is simply ridiculous! What has sitting around and waiting done for anyone, let alone gun owners in the last couple decades?

The best thing that could come to gun owners is a huge sweeping ban, followed by mass hysteria, and panic!

What we need is to focus that panic, and get more people doing what needs to be done, and that is pressuring legislators!

We will lose in court everytime, as has been seen with every challenge so far.

As has been mentioned the change needs to come at a legislative level, and it needs to come while we have the CPC in power.

On a more personal note, I don't give a rats ass how many letters you have written, or how much research you have done. Your comments come across as if to suggest people do nothing. I read it again, and still see no mention of what needs to really happen here.

What needs to be done, is that firearms owners wake the f#@k up, and realize nobody is safe. Everyones guns are at risk, and we all need to get angry, and yes even panic a little bit.

There is a sense of urgency now more than ever, and your comments just really rubbed me the wrong way.

Calling and harassing local gun shops and suppliers is far less productive than a little venting on an internet forum. YOU are one of those people who are making the retailers life worse by bothering them for information they don't have.
