I have an extra Mosin Nagant nothing special about Ito would like to put a new stock on it and paint it camo. Do you have any ideas or things you have done to give me some ideas. Plan so far is to buy a laminated stock made by Boyd's with a thumb hole stock, timmney trigger, install bent bolt with a flashy knob on the bolt handle, cut the barrel shorter, install muzzle brake, a scope of some kind with a mount of some kind.

A Picatinny rail would be an untried modification on a Mosin.
I think they've already been chromed; and painting...my Little Pony is a good motif for such a stylish project as well.

So you're looking for help/direction for bubba'ing your mosin, just keep it the way it is. It's fine in stock trim...
If you are already starting with a boogered-up "Gatean the basement hacksaw man's Mosin", then do what you will. But chopping a military one is a money-losing proposition every time. It will end up as a $50 buggered-up gun at my LGS or on the bargain table as a "parts rifle" at the gun show.

That's just beautiful, what did you refinish the stock with? Great looking rifle!
Removing the shellac, little to no sanding, heating the stock with the hair dryer and wiping off the Cosmo, degreasing the wood with the alcohol, wood conditioner, two coats of Red Mahogany 225, 7 coats of Tru Oil with 0000 steel wool buffing between the each coat.

When you put the pillars in do you have to glass bed the rifle? I saw somewhere they say you have to or should not sure why? I would think the pillars just beef up where the screws go.
I did bed around the pillars as there is a small difference in fit from the factory stock inletting. The rear pillar (with cutout for Timney trigger) is a little lean on surrounding wood to give it strength I was comfortable with. Many good YouTube videos on doing my project using rock solid products. Westrifle was great. They carry what you'll need.
