Postal Matches: Enter scores (Updated April 3rd)

Hi I'm new here. I'm 13 and will be 14 in a month. I joined so I could shoot some of these matches. I just shot the offhand match for now becuase I'm waiting for my new gun. It's Savage Mark II BV. Once I get it I'll shoot some of the 50 yrd targets.
cz452shooter....my dad (TReX300) talked with you on BenchrestCentral.

Here's my score for the 25yrd offhand match.

158/200 (Trapkid)
Mossberg 146B
Bushnell 3.5-10x45mm scope
Remington Sub Sonic ammo
Shot in the back yard. No wind but it was starting to rain

Next time I'll shoot slower. I shot all 20 shots in like 5 minutes. Do we have to post a picture of our target? My scanner doesnt work anymore.

Great shooting Zach!!

You don't have to post a picture of your target.

Thats a really good score. I know that when I first started (I was about 13 or 14 at that time) I had trouble shooting in the 130's on this same target so your doing great. I have shot thousands of rounds since then offhand and my scores have improved.

Feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions.

Again, great shooting

BTW: Don't be discouraged if you get what you think is a low score on the 50 yard target. When I first shot it with my CZ 452 I had a lot of trouble breaking 200 out of 250....

An entry in the 25 yd. offhand match. I think I may have to get a .22 scope or mount one with an AO. The fixed power Weaver is factory set for parallax for 100 yd. or more.

I have no idea what happened between the first target and the second... all I did was adjust my sights to try bring the groups up into the bull, but then the grouping went to pot... Oh well... it would have been nice to have those groups from the first target up just a bit!

Finally out for the first time

Well,

It's good to finally find some time to get out and try this postal match. This is my first post, but not the last

I bought this gun last fall and have put about 200 rounds through it so far...

I tried the 50M unlimited and 100M today. My 50 is embarrassing to post, so I'll add my 100M as it is somewhat respectable - but tells me there is much practice to do !!

Slight wind, temp 10C, slight drizzle

269 - 2X
Savage R93FV .17HMR synthetic stock, NC star 10-40x50, shooters ridge bipod
Using Remington Poly-tip Vmax

I know these guns can shoot a lot better than this so I apologize to the Savage people out there!! It's a poor musician that blames his instrument.

Looking forward to next month!!!

I'll be waiting to see next month's scores... I've ordered some rings online so I can put a scope on my Brno... then I'll be in at 100m!

Game on!

Nice shooting folks.

Definately not a bad turn out for the first time running the postal matches for quite some time.

For the most part I think I will keep everything the same except maybe add some rules to seperate the match guns/epuipment from the sporting guns. This way you are not shooting a Savage against a custom Anschutz 54. Maybe I can do that this month.

Next month I will also just run the match for one month instead of two.

In couple days, probably wednesday I will post the results.

May I thank cz52shooter on behalf of the gun nutz gang for the effort of organizing this event. Good job and please (please!) keep it going!

Great Day

I too would like to say thanks for your organizational skills! Thanks...

It got me out again today... this time with good results... the wind was minimal...
