Potential for a "more affordable" Bullpup Bolt Action Precision/Hunting Rifle.

We need Remington to make a bullpup version of their model 7600 pump-action rifle...'cause it's illegal to make our own.
Lots of chat on US gun forums about bullpup kits for Reminding 870 shotgun, and how the 7600 rifle should fit in the kit, but I can't find any info on anyone who's actually built one.

They look awkward to cycle the action in any position other than probe or from a bench. How well can you cycle the action from standing or kneeling?

What do you mean by "they"...the bolt-action rifles with the bolt by your shoulder? I agree. But a pump-action bullpup rifle could be very quickly cycled from standing or kneeling.

It would still need to be a ground up new design to fit the legal requirements of Canadian law. Bull pup "stocks" are prohibited in Canada. Stupid, YES, but still the law.
Given the itty bitty market Canada has to offer I seriously doubt any large US maker would even bother.

Where the F@# did you find such crap.
What is prohib is remotely operate a trigger.
So if you want to modify an existing firearm to bullpup, you need to make or find a trigger made for it.

It is illegal in Canada to modify a rifle to a bullpup from its original configuration, but not illegal to manufacture a bullpup rifle with a dedicated bullpup receiver.

Yup, Dero, you're off base on this one. Only the stock is a prohibited device.
PROHIBITED DEVICES
Former Prohibited Weapons Order, No. 9
2. Any rifle, shotgun or carbine stock of the type known as the “bull-pup” design, being a stock that, when combined with a firearm, reduces the overall length of the firearm such that a substantial part of the reloading action or the magazine-well is located behind the trigger of the firearm when it is held in the normal firing position.

Ok then, my mistake and I apologize for this one.

But in my understanding/interpretation, all theses stocks are prohibited because they are equiped with a remote trigger activation device.

Well, so far there has been no reaction which is rather disappointing. Hopefully someone decides to put some into production someday.

Yeah, I’ll be impatiently waiting too. It will probably be like the Modern Hunter. Someone will do it, it will blow up and be a hit then others will follow. Someday maybe.

Surprised no one mentioned the “Stradivari” Single-Shot Bullpup Hunting Rifle
Single shot rifle and not very affordable but still looks kinda cool
