I tried different powders until a very experience shooter who is no longer with us turned me on to WST - Winchester Super Target. I have never looked back. Very accurate and reliable loads. The US Army shooters use this powder (or at least did when I started using it).

I use 4.6grains for 230gr .45 plated.

Bullseye works well. Mind you, I don't use 200 grain bullets. Cast 230 grain RN's or Flat Points.
Your pistol has to be set up to feed SWC's though. Your's may well be already, but it's not hard to do. You just extend the feed ramp about half way up the sides of the chamber a wee bit.

W231 works good, its cheap but as stated it is dirty.
I've started trying out titegroup, it seems to work well.
If I thought you could find it I would recommend Rex II, its my favorite but isn't available at the moment.
Always wanted to try out Vitavori powder.

unique - never had any issues with it, and shooting cast lead 200grain flat nose.

I like it, and it was the only powder that I found in 8lbs container.
