Hi --
I have a Norinco M305, which is great fun, and a decent stash of Norinco 7.62 x 51 ammo. It is bimetal copper, steel cased copper washed milsurp ammo (non-corrosive).
I am considering buying a Savage bolt-action .308 -- perhaps the 10 FCP-K for target shooting and perhaps hunting, and I would like to be able to use the Norinco ammo for practice. Will this damage the barrel? I know that to get the best accuracy I will need to use higher grade ammo, but if I can use my less expensive Norinco that would save me $$$, plus I already have it.
Thanks.
