Pre-Orders for the Tikka Arctic .308 Win! Get yours now!

Thanks for the info. That's too bad. A Diemaco ranger rifle is what I really want. If I wanted a Tikka I'd just buy a standard model.

I'm hoping at some point some surplus rifles show up. I know I'd overpay for one, lol. That being said, I'm seriously considering overpaying for one of these. Still a beautiful rifle, imo.

Added a blog post the other day to say these should be arriving in stores in October.

They sound très sweet.

Colt is making key parts of the military version, but not the civilian version, which is made in Finland.

You should check out my article from a couple weeks ago :)

It might be not even allowed based based their contract.

You should check out the article I wrote about it a couple weeks ago on my blog. :)

My understanding about CGN rules is that I'm not allowed to post hyperlinks, but my avatar image is a hint on how to find it.

And who knows, you might enjoy the blog so much, you'll want to share it with your friends.

Got to handle one yesterday and they are really nice, slick action nice sights but I would have to work out for a few months just to be able to carry it around for a couple hours. It is really heavy.
Heavy price too, If I remember it was $2500 or there abouts.

Really heavy? Any idea on weight factor? I love .308s but if it's in the 9+lb range, I'm not so interested.

Handled one yesterday and it's definitely in the 8lb range but I didnt weigh it so don't quote me on that. It has a fairly fat barrel, and the laminate stock is also substantial. Cool gun, but like everyone else said, price is about double what I'd pay for a Tikka.....

I like it, orange stock and all, but unfortunately not enough to meet that price tag on what is essentially a knock-off of the real deal :(

Would appreciate if it ya didn't advertise other dealers in our paid forum, thanks :)
