so who's in for a training day in the lower mainland? I have talked to Longshot, and he's willing to play teacher for us. Tried to set this up last year, but school and such got in the way. I figure $50 each plus the drop in at my club ($10 for non members), and we can spend the whole day being yelled at by Longshot. Obviously since it's only 100m, we'd be working on positions, trigger control etc. But for some of us, the basics still really need to be learned.
anyone interested?
I am also thinking of something similar for Tac Rifle/Service Rifle, and a Care and Cleaning of your service rifle/precision rifle as well. kind of do 1 workshop a month kind of thing. Good way to see the gear out there in a non competitive environment. Besides if we get a good enough group of guys together we could put up a nicer webpage than those ISA guys ;)

I could talked into coming down for that. Can I park my motorhome in Abbys lot overnite? Oh and its about time you told me what kind of long shooter I should buy.:D ;)

As long as I can make it I'm in :)

It would be great to have practice/training sessions for sniper, service, and pistol. Good way to get more guys to come out and try it without the pressure of it being a full on shoot. Doing it the first time with eardefenders on leaves you too busy trying to keep up with what is going on. Having comeups aready sorted helps to ;)

I think I might be able to make the Tac rifle one on the 25th. who wants to be the teacher?

I'd be happy to help out in some way but it would have to be after March 5th for me. It would be easier than helping the poor guy I was shooting with at the match last year sight in his rig during the match.

so next Saturday is a go for those who want to attend, it'll likely be more informal than the one we want to setup for the Precision Rifle, but if Longshot can make next Sat. I'll let you all know, and we'll figure out a fee. If not, it'll be just the $10 drop in.
You'll need to bring your own targets as well.

Any plans for dates post "next saturday", I hate to miss out and the worst thing is that I'll be in Chilliwack but unfortunately I'll be there on "business". To boot when my new scope showed the Badger rings were one size to small and I'm waiting for the proper ones. Kind of suck to show with a rifle sans scope. May be I could use the force??,,,,,,, Good chance I'll hit the target that way!!

I think this coming saturday we should focus on Service rifle and maybe some Tac rifle? any arguments from anyone? I know that those are the competitions coming up first, Precision is later on.
