Mystic: I have been thinking of doing a custom Stevens/Savage 111 action with you for a varmint gun. But I too like the idea of a dual port action like Savage heavy target guns.

Happy to discuss options when you are ready to start your build.

The dual port only makes sense if you are shooting from a bench all the time. Doesn't really help you if you are shooting prone.

But we can chat more once you have an idea of the parameters you want from this rifle.

PM or email is best.

Thanks,

Jerry

An important feature is 'Price Point'.

To some of your customers it does not matter the price, they can just sign off on a Purchase Order.
But to others, Price is one of the deciding factors always thought of.

If you offer $5000+ Rifles, I don't think too many buyers will be interested.

If you offer an Attractive (yes, looks sell) Rifle, with some bells and whistles (Custom Trigger, Custom Cut Barrel, etc) in the $1500-$2000 range. I think you would have a good base of interested buyers.
Those People that want more than a Stock Remington / Savage but don't want to step up to the $4000+ for a TRG or AI would give you a call.

Offer packages, The Rifle with a Scope (NXS 3.5-15 for practical shooting) w/ extra mag and drag bag deal, or the Rifle includes a Tactical / Precision course with some field time on a 1000 yard range with 'Experts' (that would actually be cool..:))
An instructional course included with the Rifle, something only available to those who buy an O.S.T Custom Rifle:ar15:

Lunch with you ?

Light
Free floated barrel from a quality blank
Match chamber
Detachable mag
Muzzle device threading
A standard action
A common chambering
M1913 receiver rail
Adjustable trigger
Can take Harris or Macmillan type stocks
Cheaper than PGW

So if we go with our own brand of bolt action rifle what features are a must have?

Brake? Multiple rails? Detachable mag?

I'm thinkin' you're in way over your head if you need to consult guys on the internet to form the basis of your marketing strategy.

you need both expensive and some thing good quality but not over priced.

Lot of place are offering extremely good product extremely expensive, other cheap stuff, might be have some thing inthe middle there is not much of those.
