Precision/Sniper/Tactical

So I measured the space between the "belly" of the scope and the mount and it is about 0.3 to 0.35 cm. I have to buy the mount to try it on. Wish I know someone who has one for me to try.

What is the con of having a scope mount that is not low enough? The difference between SP4001 and SP4002 is 0.04 mm

Buddy.... Why are you asking this in a picture thread!?? Take this trainwreck somewhere else.

I think you can set it up either way, no? My set up allows me to fold the legs facing down instead of facing up toward the barrel.

Is there a disadvantage of the way I set it up?

Only that it makes it harder to load the bipod when precision shooting I would think, but if not effecting you then run it how you want.

Unfortunately according to the members of CGN remington 700 actions just aren't as accurate as rifles built off of custom actions, so I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up for accuracy:p...

I'm a bit late to this party but here we are. Maybe try a Remington 700 action with a Remington factory 5R barrel? Mine's been working wonders for me. In about 5000 rounds I will replace it with a Krieger 5R or similar but for now I'm good.

You can mount that bipod any way you wish. Nothing wrong with the way you have it!

If that gun is only to be posed for pictures on CGN then you should listen to 6MT's advice.
If you actually plan to use it in the field I highly recommend spinning that bipod around so the first time you load it it doesn't collapse on you.

I guess if there's no lock on the legs, you'd probably want to switch it around. (I assumed there was a lock on the legs, I might have guessed wrong.)

Thanks guys, I did it myself. Used a natural sponge, layed a base coat of the khaki color then sponged on the olive green and brown.
