Precision/Sniper/Tactical



My recent purchase. A Remington 700 SPS Tactical 300 Blackout. Not bad for a 16.5" barrel.



Hard to believe its a 5r barrel.



The wife approves!



My 25m group. im happy with it. I think a better scope is a must.

Well I finally burned out my .300 lapua magnum. So instead of building the same thing I went back to .338 lapua. I was going to buy a barrel and have it put on my stiller tac 338 action, but Ross at PGW said he'd do all the work. So what you see here is a C 14 knock off built by PGW! Stiller tac 338 action with a PGW kreiger barrel. Coated C 14 green of course. Thanks so much Ross for building this rifle for me. I know you are a busy guy and have bigger things to do than build one offs for people like me. This rifle is absolutely beautiful. Hope it shoots as good as it looks.
 
Looks good....technically speaking Chris here did the work. You don't want me working on your rifle ;-)

I figured as much lol. Still amazing however. I shall chrony and put a few more rounds thru her tomorrow. I had to sand down everything forward of the recoil lug since the bbl was a slightly different size. So now the chamber and bbl are fully free floating. It wasn't the first groupings i did and it was still at .75 MOA with factory ammo and a brand new unmolested bbl. I think she's gonna be a winner.

Tuned Rem Trigger 1.75lbs
Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50mm
Vortex bubble
Badger 20MOA rail with Badger 30mm rings and Badger tactical bolt knob
Harris bipod
McMillan A4 stock with sniperfil

Still on load development but I have some 0.343 MOA 5-shot groups (avg 2635fps) that seem to show some serious promise.

Here's my new rifle.
Tikka T3 Varmint Stainless - 223
Leupold Mark 4 ER/T - 6.5-20x50 FFP
Seekins/Vortex Rings
EGW HD 20 MOA Picatinny Rail
Caldwell XLA 6-9 with podlock (Harris to follow)

On the first outing the rifle was minute of old 303 brass @ 100 yards, here are a few examples.

rifle basix sav-1 trigger set at 2.25 lbs
Savage 10 FCP HS Precision stock/bottom metal.
Sightron SIII 6-24x50 LRMOA on 2 piece Weaver base and Burris 30mm Xtreme Tactical rings
