^ The wind as reported at the Edson regional aerodrome at the time was 11 knots gusting 18knots which is 20/gusting 33 km/h and it was every bit of that. Dang wind blew my mat/rifle/box of ammo right off the table after I stood up from shooting. Caught the rifle for she hit the ground at least. That tree dirty eight is great for bucking the wind but at the 1600m range even it was being harassed too much to connect.
I'm shooting 178gr amax at 2710fps in my 308 and was super impressed with a second round hit on both 1100 and 1200m gongs. FFS I had 11 moa dialled in for windage! Dang wind was harassing me mortar rounds something fierce!
Just goes to show for all the people wondering what the lowly 308 can and can't do. Ye may be lobbin' em in from near arty heights but ye can still shwack the target with it at ELR. Critical component… a good spotter.

Nice. 308WIN? Where did you buy the Eagle stock pack?
Yes sir, that's the 338 Lapua Improved. The Cerakote is Magpul Flat Dark Earth. The McMillan stock is a 40/30/30 of 3 tan colors.
Details on this build? Who did the work? That is one gorgeous rifle!
