Actually I don't know the twist rate. I bought the rifle used. It was originally built for Hunter Benchrest so I'd assume it is not a fast twist. I use 70gr Nosler Ballistic Tips, a truly AWSOME bullet in my opinion. It is accurate, fast and explosive on very small game and has a better BC than typical .223 / 22-250 varmint bullets. What twist do you have on the 6BR Suputin? You using the 87gr VMAX? (great bullet IMHO)
The first step to a cure is to admit your failings. But man, you need to add some $ to the glass fund! A lot of neat rifles not done justice by the glass. (Just my glass snobery, and I fully realize and accept my condition)

I like the Tasco SS line and have three of them. Two 16x's and a 10x. I have used these scopes in 1000 yd competition, for 2000 yd plinking and for medium and long range varminting and have never felt underglassed.
The rifle above is capable of 100 yd groups in the .2's which is more than outstanding in a gopher field. The thing is like a freakin lazer beam inside 250 yds making it a hell of a lot of fun to shoot.
