And yes... Weaver rings! 500+ rounds, still zeroed.

:D :D

That pair above ought to be known as the "tandem of terror" to the varmint world, both are slated for use on the farm in AB, gophers beware.

Top, CZ452 Varmint .22LR, Brooks weaver adapters, adjustable sear and lighter spring, Leupold Mk4 fixed 12X.

Foreground, AICS stage 2, MacClellan barrel in .308, extended bolt handle, monopod rear, parker hale bipod, 20MOA base, Mk4 rings, Leupold Mk4 6.5-20X50mm. I didn't even build this one! Some other individual with fine taste did, I just bought it and swapped on components I wanted (Scope+rings)

Resize (trial and error) on plain paper... once you have the correct size, print out on high gloss photo paper. I used clear duct tape folded undernear it to stick it to the cap. :D

What twist do you have on the 6BR Suputin? You using the 87gr VMAX? (great bullet IMHO)
Actually I don't know the twist rate. I bought the rifle used. It was originally built for Hunter Benchrest so I'd assume it is not a fast twist. I use 70gr Nosler Ballistic Tips, a truly AWSOME bullet in my opinion. It is accurate, fast and explosive on very small game and has a better BC than typical .223 / 22-250 varmint bullets.

But man, you need to add some $ to the glass fund! A lot of neat rifles not done justice by the glass. (Just my glass snobery, and I fully realize and accept my condition)
The first step to a cure is to admit your failings. :)

I like the Tasco SS line and have three of them. Two 16x's and a 10x. I have used these scopes in 1000 yd competition, for 2000 yd plinking and for medium and long range varminting and have never felt underglassed.

The rifle above is capable of 100 yd groups in the .2's which is more than outstanding in a gopher field. The thing is like a freakin lazer beam inside 250 yds making it a hell of a lot of fun to shoot.

Yeah, I used to shoot with a Tasco on my first rig and I used to swear by it. Had I never tried the mark 4 series Leupy's, I still would I bet. And had I never tried the S&B...

My only two complaints with the Tasco SS's are; glass quality is adequate, but very evidently not equal to Leupy or S&B, this really comes down to 'how good do you want' as the Tasco was still functional and I saw my targets, but once you try the Leupy/S&B crowd your opinion on what you 'need' changes, and I also found the clicks not as repeatable. I can wind from the bottom to the top and back on any of my Mk4's and it hits exactly the same POI.
