Preferred bullit weight for IPSC?

This is my third CZ, my other two were lasers :)

I'm going to give her another go today.

The 124 ,were cheap ammo, came in a 500 rnd plastic bag.
So maybe that's why they were so terrible.

Would changing the grips,effect anything?

I replaced the OEM rubber grips, with aluminum ones.

Changing the grips shouldn't effect elevation POI difference you had. In fact the heavier aluminium grips will add a bit of weight and help decrease muzzle rise And get you back on target quicker. Changing grips however could effect windage. If grips are to large or small they could influence your trigger finger position on the trigger and in turn cause you to either push (group left) or pull ( group right) the trigger. You want to ensure grips allow your trigger finger to pull the trigger straight back.

I found the rubber grips on my Shadow a tad large and changed them to the slimmer aluminium grips....like the ones on my Shadow 2s. Love them.

Well ,as Jimbo said,it appears to be me.

I got an experienced shooter to try and he put all 10 rnds, centre of target,in a 3 inch group.
At about 15 yards.

Apparently,I was focusing on the front dot ,to much.
After I corrected my sight picture, I was doing much better.

I could hit the 8 inch gong ,fairly easy.
This was at 50 yards.

I'll just keep practicing.

Nicely done! I've never tried to shoot 50 yds with a pistol before. I need to dig out our indoor range some more. :)

Kudos to you for getting the other shooter to try, even after you were quite certain it was the gun. I've been coaching for a while now, and I've seen all kinds of things. Sometimes things are quite subtle and tough to diagnose. I'm glad you're on the right track.

It's good for all of us to check in with a good coach at times, or at least an experienced shooter to help fine-tune our progress. Seeing our skills grow is quite motivating. :) I wish you well.
