Then there's always the Mauser 66...

I really like the look for the ParkWest Arms (formerly Dakota) rifles in 416 Rigby.
What are some comparable brands around that level? Maybe I should be focusing on the premium American brands vs European?
High grade wood stock, blued finish, controlled round feed, big bore chamberings.

That's a good looking CZ. Is that a production rifle? - dan
Looks like one of the AHR upgrades.
CONSIGN - CZ - 338WINMAG - MODEL 550 AHR - CUSTOM GRADE IV WALNUT STOCK (AHR) W/EBONY FOREND TIP/BLUED, 24"BARREL, TARGET CROWN, JEWELLED BOLT, C/W SWAROVSKI, Z3, 3-9X36, PLEX RETICLE
Oddly enough, when I think of going upscale... I often find myself lusting for a 1903 in 6.5×54 Mannlicher-Schönauer

Go with 4.
Does blaser go big bore on the r8? Would want the extra weight of the r8 for those, I liked the r93 better for regular cartridges, slimmer/lighter that suited them, the r8 would suit a thumper. I somehow don't think that's really what you want though, you sound like you need more traditional type actions. I'm loving my sako 90 peak, maybe wait it out, they should come around eventually. And if feeling the sako, could one of the new ones become a project platform to get to big bore, maybe one is just a good smith and barrel away from being what you want?
