Presale on Non Restricted Ruger PC 9mm Carbine

It sounds like there will be enough to fill ALL orders late this month. So, hopefully, not too bad.

what!?
another 2 weeks!
this is preposterous!

i kid, i kid!
im just happy Ruger decided to make a NR version for us.

my phone didnt ring today so im guessing im on the next batch.
im not gonna lie, ive been waiting for a PC9 ever since i picked up my first P-89 back in 1991 and heard there was a rifle that took the same magazines came out 5 years later.
so ive been waiting 22 years i guess i can wait 2 more weeks.

we should probably all expect more posts from me over the next two weeks exploring my depth of my patience while waiting.

me all day today after not getting a call

Today was the day, my shooting buddy and I live about two hours from Prophet river, and we were #1&2 on the list, so we drove over to see Clay and the folks as well as pick up the new iron. I'm not much at reviewing things, but I'll give you our first impressions. Compact, looks like a 22lr in size, but as soon as you pick one up you know it isn't a 22, very solid. It's not that they are too heavy, just nice and solid. I've read complaints about the mags fitting in the well a little loose but ours both snapped in nice and firm. The controls all seem fine to me, work smooth, magazine drops out with a firm press off the release, bolt charges easily and locks in place, releases nicely. Takedown works just like 10-22, easy and smooth. My eyes don't like open sights any more, so I brought a Vortex Viper 1-4x24 along and Calvin mounted it and bore sighted it for me. Then back home, cleaned it, grabbed a few boxes of Centaur 124gr and went to a creek a few minutes away that has a bit a of a valley and lots of targets of opportunity. Pretty informal, but we seemed to be able to hit any of the lumps of dirt or cow s*#t that we shot at, anywhere from 15 to 80 yards. He went through 40 rounds, I fired 50, not a single failure to fire, feed or eject in either rifle. At home I benched it and shot a half dozen quick groups at 50 yards, seemed to do about 1 inch consistently with the occasional flier. I didn't measure the trigger, but would guess about 4lbs, fairly clean, I really don't think I'll bother upgrading it or working on it. happy the way it is. All in all, love it. Big thanks to Clay and the staff at Prophet river, great service, as usual.
