With the crazy prices of M1's these days I was just curious as to what mine is worth today.
It is one of 4000 guns that had the receiver made by HRA for IHC when they could not meet production. HRA/IHC receiver serial numbers start at 5,213,034, and mine is 5,213,278. It has the original LMR barrel, IHC marked rear sight IHC gas plug. HRA op rod, SA bolt and SA trigger group. Stock is not HRA but is well worn but fits very well.
I do not know a whole lot about the drawing numbers to see when specific things were replaced, but the trigger group is much newer, the parkerization is very fresh compared to the rest. The SA bolt is worn to the same patina as the rest of the gun so although it is a replacement it has been with the gun a long time.
This garand shoots really well, and I have a nice load for it, but has become a safe queen.
Any input on this IHC garand would be greatly appreciated. Pics here : https://imgur.com/a/WQzuU
