With the crazy prices of M1's these days I was just curious as to what mine is worth today.

It is one of 4000 guns that had the receiver made by HRA for IHC when they could not meet production. HRA/IHC receiver serial numbers start at 5,213,034, and mine is 5,213,278. It has the original LMR barrel, IHC marked rear sight IHC gas plug. HRA op rod, SA bolt and SA trigger group. Stock is not HRA but is well worn but fits very well.

I do not know a whole lot about the drawing numbers to see when specific things were replaced, but the trigger group is much newer, the parkerization is very fresh compared to the rest. The SA bolt is worn to the same patina as the rest of the gun so although it is a replacement it has been with the gun a long time.

This garand shoots really well, and I have a nice load for it, but has become a safe queen.

Any input on this IHC garand would be greatly appreciated. Pics here : https://imgur.com/a/WQzuU

Italian M1s are selling for like $1600 now so....I wouldn't list an american one for less than that.

Your stock is in hard shape but the handguards look pretty good so it shouldn't hurt the value too much. Surplus stocks in decent shape are not hard to find nor are they very expensive.

it's funny I had a different stock for this gun, but it did not fit as well or shoot as tight of groups. So while the stock may be lacking in the looks department its good where it counts.

Looks like a rifle you would get out of the CMP program, Service grade +- or so. $1500 to $1800, but the stock is a bit rough. It would worth more if it was in better condition.
The refurb Danish Garand c/w new barrel refinish etc. $1600 max for me. Original Garand, period they sell for $1800 +- $200..

Typical "Mixmaster". Here in the States that rifle, as is, would be in the $14-1600 range. Maybe $2K if someone just "Had" to have that particular model variation. By the way, the front sight is NOT IHC. The "ears" are not spread far enough.
