Your rifle is in excellent condition. You are probably in around the $1000 range. Actual price really depends on how badly someone would want it. Nice enfields have gone up in value quite substantially in recent years.

If you want top dollar for your rifle, which is NOT EXCELLENT IMHO but VG+, you will need to find provenance that the rifle is genuine.

I'm by no means saying it isn't by the way because word has it that not all of the rifles were recorded. That's rumor by the way and we all know how that works.

I have a No7 22 Longbranch that's MP marked. I was told some of them were stamped at Depot and some were stamped when they reached the detachment. There is a book on verified numbers. Mine isn't in it, so as far as I'm concerned it's an interesting piece, unverifiable but still valuable.

If your rifle's serial number is verifiable, no they weren't sent out in any order, then IMHO it's could fetch $1500 but if the rifle I have, which is verified by an Alan Lever purchase bill, is a hard sell at that price your rifle may be as well.

I paid 950$ and I think about 1100$ for the two I have, and I think 1000$ for the one I bought for my friend.

I have the book around here somewhere if anyone needs the serial numbers checked. One of mine isn't in the book but has a paper with the lineage. That one you have looks in impeccable condition though. Definitely nicer than mine.

Really good condition No.4s are approaching $1000, with Long Branches leading, not surprisingly in Canada. There is a list of serial numbers from one batch the Alan Lever sold off. OP, send me a private message with your email, and I'll send you a copy of that list.

I don't have any RCMP interests or pieces, so I am not pumping up the value on anyone's anything.

Just getting into firearms, and just put two and two together. I worked at the Long Branch factory, it was a training facility for Ontario Hydro|OPG for years. Very cool building, classrooms in vaults, etc. I had an office in building 12 which was the main inspection facility at the base of Dixie Rd and Lakeshore. Now I need one!

Take a look at the butt stock. You're being blinded by the shiny fore end.
