A buddy just gave me 100 Winchester brass. They appear to either have a slightly smaller primer pocket or have a bit of a crimping ring around the primer pocket. I was able to chamfer and clean out 50 of them to the point where the primers went in normally. After sizing and cutting them, is the small primer pocket just an inconveniance that may take some reaming or are there other considerations I need to think about? Like I said, on about 50 of them, I was able to get the primer to seat with normal pressure on 80% of them and witha little coaxing for the other 20% but in the end, they appear to be seated normally.
