Problems with fabarm martial 14"

Why is everyone getting on the OP? He asked a question and got a answer its what the forum is for, he is not complaining or bad mouthing the business, and not everyone has time to call or drive 2 hours to visit the shop.

If anyone has problems with a FABARM, we are more than happy to sort it out as we are the importer and service centre. We have boat loads of parts in stock to fix just about any issue, and a qualified gunsmith to do the work.

if a busy schedule is making it hard to call, emails are the next best thing. send it in whenever you can and wait. One could also leave a message on their answering machine if they have one. The responders here haven't been cheeky, they are legitimate responses. Posting on the forum gives off a "i want attention" vibe, especially when it's to such a simple issue. I suppose you could then argue that you posted in the dealer forum specifically only wanting the dealer to respond, however since it is a forum you'd have to wait for them to come on and see it to respond, so you may as well have sent an email or again left a message. A dealer may only come on every couple of days, whereas they should in most cases check emails and phone messages daily.

I have a Fabarm 14" & it came with a spring on the pump slide to assist in whatever. I took it out because it seemed odd being in there, then I noticed that as soon as I shot a shell through it, after removal, it unlocked a bit on its own to help a little with extraction. This happens with the Winchester 1300's i've shot as well which helped greatly in the speed of the next follow-up. Do you have this spring & if you do have you tried removing it. To make it more clear, this spring I'm talking about coils around the tube magazine & compresses as the slide is racked.
It's a long shot because I have not experienced the problem you've explained.

Some brands of cheaper tin based shells have shown problems. Brass based shells seem more reliable as a rule. It seems to have something to do with expansion and contraction of the tin compared to the brass. Might not actually be tin but they are the shiny silver ones.

Unless the OP works 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, the excuse of living too far away and too busy to call is full of it.

Maybe PM wanstall on CGN would work, but I guess starting a thread on a public forum would get faster respose.

My Fabarm was a jamming hunk of beautiful sh!t !!! It only jammed every 10 rounds after removing the spring.

I personally thank OP for politely bring this up and sharing with everyone, I learned 2 things off him and from other members sharing their expriences, No.1 there are some issues or design flaws with farbarm pump, ie assisted spring action. No.2 wanstalls and the shooting edge are standing behind their products so I would be happy to buy from them. Win win to everyone it seems.

For those actually interested in helping and not just wanting to argue and play internet tough guy
All it took to fix the problems was a gentle chamber polish!
Thanks to wanstalls and all the people who actually had something constructive to say!!
The fabarm can cycle everything faster than I can pump it now!!

congrats on getting it working, i was really just trying to help you identify more expedient methods of contacting your dealer and identifying why some people may be railing you for this one.

@Familygunnutz: that is fair, but the OP really did not read like sharing information about the problem with the gun, rather it came off sounding a lot like he was sharing the problem with service. for example "I was sold the display/demo model which I was wary about! But like I said you've always been good to me so I kept my mouth shut." <probably not the most effective way to phrase that if you really meant you were ok with it cause you trusted them. he went on longer about the experience of buying it and unboxing it then he did on the actual problem itself.

Outstanding! Glad you got it working. I freaking love mine...and never took the spring out, that is the best part....besides the high quality, ghost rings sights and just general awesomeness!! Enjoy.

Glad you got it working. I picked up one here in Calgary 10 days ago and love it. Cycles and shoots great!

Hey DieselDawg!
Glad you got your issue sorted!
That's what this forum is for, for help!
Just a thought!
There is other punctuation! Aside from the exclamation sign!
I can't believe! How your typing sounds! When read out loud! Like William Shatner! As Captain Kirk!

Happy New Year!
