If I am stuck with using the dovetail mount for the optic, where is the best place to source one out? Would the Shadow 2 still be ok to use even with it being a bit larger that the SP01?Considering I already shoot this division in USPSA. It really is awesome. Nothing is more fun than running and gunning with 19+ rounds with a red dot.
There was a 10 round mag capacity, but as of Feb 1st went to max 140mm length instead.
I'm currently using my shadow custom with a dovetail mount. Over 1000 rounds and no issues.
Thanks for the info. I don't have either the 1 or 2 as of yet, but was waiting to see which way this goes first.Looks like you'd have to wait until a dovetail mount comes up for the shadow 2. I'm pretty sure that the slide is machined differently than the sp-01 shadow. I got mine from Springer precision.
Yuck. Open class will dry up even more then.

With rules on Open guns being watered down, lower power factor, heavier bullets it could be replaced with the new guns and optics.
Has anyone tried Open with a ported and opticed M&P yet shooting minor or can you score minor in Open?

We're bringing in EGW mounts for C-More RTS2s for LPA dovetails - so they'll fit on our Tanfoglios. EGW has done them for Glock and Novak; someone's bound to do it for CZ too.
USPSA isn't getting the traction they thought they'd get on this division in the US - but that's probably due to the release of PCC at the same time. Many are headed there instead.
I still think PO will be a decent division in IPSC, though - much of our shooting population are getting older eyes and red dots solve that problem.
PO will let the older guys shoot without the huge investment that an Open gun entails (comps, reloading, etc) but it won't replace Open - no production gun with an optic is going to shoot as fast as a real open gun.
Not now. If IPSC introduces it this fall, I'd expect to see most doing it next year. Are any Canadian sections running it?
does anyone know why did IPSC make the bullet weight for major 124, when USPSA is 112?
LOL!!! I was just thinking "Because 'Merica! Even though 'merica had a say in what the rest of the world chose."Because IPSC
