Production Optics Div ???

I just ordered one of the Springer mounts for my Shadow 1 myself.
When fitment issues have been had - what specifically are we talking about here? Loose versus tight tolerances? Thanks in advance.

In my shadow 1 it was loose. I has spoken with Springer and it was supposed to be tight under tension from the set screws. There shouldn't be any interference fit. I ended up shimming the bottom of the mount/dovetail. Used locktite and my zero Yas never wondered.

Good info.
What did you end up using for shims? Would aluminum can sheet metal be too thick?

Thanks to a few site sponsors Black Friday has made my entrance into PO even more affordable.
Total cost for a Vortex Venom 6MOA taxes in delivered was $334, the mount was just under a hundred delivered.
So total cost to try a new optic division was a whopping $430 :)

That's really reasonable, cost me around 270 usd.

I really wanted the 6moa venom but at the time it wasn't released yet, so the 6moa viper for 220 usd shipped (to usa, us gun) had to do.

What mount and for what gun?

From which site sponsor did you purchase the Venom RDS from? I believe most offered a 15% discount. Did you get free shipping as well?

I have run both Vortex Venom and Viper on my M&P Core for 3 gun and now production optics, they are great value for the money and a no BS lifetime warranty too.

Cant go wrong.

Saw this on facebook today.

Quite the statement!!!

Tanfoglio and C-More RTS2 with the Champ.

I have no doubt that that's the best combo for P.O. but it is also the most expensive route. If I had the money, I would have this set up for sure...
The RTS2 wasn't designed for slide mount was It? Just wondering if durability has been proven. I'm not accusing it of not being durable, I'm just looking for info

The RTS2 was designed for a lot more than just riding a mount on a blasting race-gun; Rifle mounting and pistol slide riding included.
The RTS2 will handle slide riding as good if not better than any of it's competitors.

I just installed mine today...
To be honest I’m not all pumped up about it, to call it loose and sloppy would be a complement.
I used several shims but the screws they provide are on the short side due to the slop, the screws they provide for mounting the optic are FH’s not PH’s as well (I have a Vortex Venom, the Burris might need these screws?).
Not much of the mount is actually grabbing the rear dovetail so time will tell if it holds up.
Hopefully the division is popular so better options become available.

What gun have you got it mounted on? Mine was overly tight for my New Edition 75B. Is it loose in the mount or the dovetail?
