Thanks Rusty! One of my most prized pieces in my safe now :)

Always loved the way it shoots must be the heavy weight steel similar to the weight of my Valtro I used to own. All dlask internals and hours of tuning made this a dream to shoot, just looked like A$$. He even managed to tighten the frame to slide fit. No more rattles. The finish and extra work he put in is amazing!

This kid is talented. :) you should see his glock 19 he just finished.

Thanks again!

Did you draw file or mill the serrations off the top of the slide? Nice work.

What style beavertail is that? Also, what sights are installed?

all done by hand.went out and bought a 10 dollar 8" file and a rat tail file and went to town with it. i dont even have a dermal at home so i use sand paper and fine stone to remove the filing marks. i'll invest in a mill this year. the top serration took the longest time to get raid of while ensuring that it still has even step thru out the slide. actually the slide werent even flat and square to began with. i file the top left and right to make it straight.

Rustspot did my buddy's M2 in FDE as well. He's quite happy with it.

I love how it changes shades in different lighting. Well done in mixing the Cerakote colours!

Nice work! How did you tighten the slide to frame fit?

Vice, hammer and a caliber to measure the slide width and frame rail measurements. Then hammer the frame rails to match the slide. There is a proper tool set for the job but since it cost as much as the gun I just went caveman on it . It's doable but takes careful test fitting

if you have access to a surface grinder a couple of pieces of flat ground stock ground to the width and hardened and tempered make ideal rail peening anvils to prevent over doing it. Very nice work indeed!

Awesome build.
How is it shoot?

It's shoots awesome. Softer and then any other 1911s I've shot, adding the match grade bushing really help in the accuracy department. Works flawlessly with Tripp mags, polishing certain key areas and some tuning on the extractor. That is why I decided to give it a facelift. Make it look as nice as it shoots.
