Called for 3rd time to obtain an update on my shipment.

Talked to sales agent on phone.
He swore up and down that they do not have any Starline brass in stock in 44-40 and it will be months before they have it again
He then suggested I had wrong store.
I asked him to hold while I checked my CC billing. And would apologize if I got the orders mixed up.

Yeah. No.
I found the billing item.

I asked him to check their files for an invoice in my name.
He said there was no way for him to do that.
So I asked him to check with others -- only to hear the other dude in the background confirm -- no, we do and I shipped it out to him last week.

Since it was already mailed out I asked for tracking.
He said they could not provide that.

I asked for them to email my invoice so I had a record so I didnt have to deal with this kind of nonsense on the return call.
I could literally hear him moving on with his day while telling me "ship it back then when you get it".

If you own Proline, you may simply be doing well enough during COVID to not care.
But you have absolutely lost my business for the 1866 Taylors .44-40. And anything else for that matter...

Should know better to stick with board sponsors.
Oh well. I got a call from Christopher @ Wolverine Supply here in Manitoba today with a line that 1866.
Thanks dude. Lets get this "in the boat".

Lifes great. Not perfect. Just great.
Shoot safe!

I haven't been there in a few years but they were always sort of hit and miss with their service. Sometimes you where glad you dropped in sometimes you felt like your launch hour had just been stolen.

Spending a pile of money to advertise on CGN doesn't make a business good. Sticking with sponsors is just as likely to leave you disappointed as not.

In person I've always had good luck. My dad bought a Uberti there years ago and had to have it shipped once approved, that was a nightmare.

I just scored an 870 marine from them a week ago in mint shape for a more than fair price.

I have known Brian the owner for almost 50 years. It's usually the twits that work there that are the problem.
Yes Brian is one of the last true firearms enthusiasts. He has extensive knowledge and well respected unlike the faceless web based box stores that helped shrink these original personal touch gun stores. I don't know his staff haven't seen Brian for some time. Simpler times when his shop was on Mcleod Trail.

I am good friends with the people there and have and have only had questionable experiences with one of the staff.
So I had no problem phoning them up and asking about this.
They certainly remembered dealing with the OP.
There is an important piece missing in the OP's story.
When the asked for tracking they looked it up and Canada Post said it was already delivered.
But he could send it back if he wanted to and they would refund his credit card if he was unhappy with it.
Considering the situation sounds like they were more than generous.

Thats a curious, and funny, spin.

No package was in my community mailbox.
Canada Post delivery notices out in the rurals have a funny way of not always providing accurate information.
The same employee seemed entirely disintereted in providing either an invoice (27478) or tracking number (0103 9610 0083 2786).
"When they looked it up" makes it sound like your pal looked for it when in fact he quite clearly couldnt be assed to do so while in the phone with me. (2:45 pm CST)
He spent far more effort trying to convince me no such order existed than he did looking for it.

"If you dont want it, send it back" in this context isnt a generaous offer. It was literally a "go pound sand" retort to close the conversation.

No - I got a call back later on (5:16 CST) with the information (not to mention service and basic respect) I should have got in the first place.
By someone else (Aaron) who claimed it had been delivered.

See how those numbers work?
Great. Now you can go back and explain basic sales orders and shipment tracking to your good friends.

Missing...
The only thing that will be missing is repeat business.

What else do you want them to do? Physically really all they can do is offer you your money back if you just return the product if you are unhappy with it, which as far as they know you received.

In regards to tracking. Yes lately Canada Post hasn't been very accurate but usually the packages are early not late from my experiencing lately. Obviously results may vary.
If you know Canada Post is problematic why are you complaining about a package you allegedly haven't received so few days after it was ordered and shipped?

The upshot is if the package is actually missing ask them to contact Canada Post to find it (since it's usually the shipper that has to do that).
Right now it just sounds like you need a little more patience in these difficult times. Understandable given All the stress people have been under in the last almost two years of this weird time.
