I don't own a JAE
I've got nothing in it.
Half my life has been spent in the QA/QC Nuclear business...and I've seen many products and many manufacturers.
For example, there may be 10 different bolts from 10 different manufacturers from all over the world, and from outside appearances they appear IDENTICAL.
BUT....they are not.
Cost aside, they all utterly different, with different manufacturing processes, different tolerances, different heat treatments & different manufacturing QA/QC programs/applications.
The difference between an ISO and an ASME/Z299 program that is actually implemented are VAST!
I'm just going from what I've seen, and the differences appear VAST.
They are two totally different beasts, for two completely different applications.
I'm not trying to s*it on you, just trying to point out some tidbits for potential buyers.
Let's not get defensive as I'm not trying to bust your balls.
Like I said I have nothing in this.
If it's for ergonomics that's great
Whatever works is what I say
I just felt it necessary to point out that a direct comparison between the two is difficult at best.
On that note, I'll gracefully bow out as I've said what I thought needed to be said.
But in conclusion, whatever gets guys shooting they're M14's is ALL good
