Proud of local butcher shop not backing down from antis...

I do not hunt & also do not eat red meat . I have no problem with people who do & I also do NOT have a problem with the sign. What is the difference between harvesting it yourself or buying it at a store. None in my opinion.

Good for the butcher.

I hit my wife up with that one. She likes steak, roast, pork chops, bacon.....all the usual stuff. Of course, being raised in the GTA, she doesn't like the idea of hunting. My reply to her went something like this.

So, if you're paying someone else to kill an animal so you can have a steak, it's all ok. You don't see it die, gutted, butchered or otherwise, so it's all ok. It just magically appears on the shelf at the supermarket, so it's all ok. Now....I go out and kill, gut, and cut up a deer and it's all bad. Can you please explain yourself on that, or would you like to straighten your hippocrit sign before you do.

She still eats meat and she's hasn't said a word about me hunting ever since. A while before that I also said "I've been hunting all my life. I've only been married to you for 10 years" and then gave her "that" look. She fully understands that nothing she does is going to get hunting out of my blood. It's part of who I am.

I'm surprised nobody has pointed out to the citidiot that she is living in a town called HUNTsVILLE and that surprise, surprise, the residents like to hunt and have their local butcher cut their meat for them.

Inspected meat and wild game cannot hang in the same cooler, as long as he as at least two separate coolers there isn't a problem (at least in Alberta)

Far as I know they can hang here together(but seperated)and the domestic meat gets done first then at the end of the day the elk and deer get done.Makes for one loooooong day in hunting season.!
I wonder if she is the one who came up with that letter about "Why just you go get meat at the Supermarket where it is made and no animals get hurt"

I`m sure glad I live in the west, except for the hippies and huggers on the coast most of us are old school.
