I used to despise this gun now I have a strange infatuation with it. I want one.

If the PS90 was rimfire how many rounds might it hold?

very futuristic space shooter! Is the mag the smoked clear plastic on the top? If so it looks like it holds a ton of ammo! Me thinks its got to be prohib do to the bull-pupish config. Man it is fugly! I'd have one for sure....

Once again, bullpub does NOT EQUAL PROHIB!!!!!!!! AAAAAAARRRGGGHH!!!

AFTERMARKET BULLPUP STOCKS ARE PROHIBITED. FACTORY BULLPUP RIFLES ARE ***NOT NECESSARILY*** PROHIB, UNLESS DEFINED AS SUCH BY ONE OF THE OIC'S.

Sorry for the ranting.

Either way, I HIGHLY doubt there will ever be a .22 rimfire PS90. Probably next to zero market for them.

Even though the Walther G22 is causing me so much grief these days, I'd still go through the same b*llsh*h for one of these

So what is happening with those things? When they first came out and people bought them, weren't they issued non-rest registrations? Then the RCMP came out and said they were prohib? Now what, the RCMP wanna come and take them?

sweet, they have these things on star gazer? I might have to tune.

I'd estimate it could hold about 75 rounds . of these!!!

And yet again let me point out...
when combined with a firearm, reduces the overall length of the firearm such that a substantial part of the reloading action or the magazine-well is located behind the trigger of the firearm when it is held in the normal firing position.
Damn it won't link anymore. :(

If you doubt this then lets see you try to get a bullpup registered in Canada.

I guess technically it 's not a bullpup as the mag isn't behind the trigger ,right?

I think a bullpup rifle is defined as having the majority of the action contained in the stock. I think that placement of the magazine doesn't matter as much. I arrived at this becuase the HK G11 was also considered a Bullpup design even though the magazine is ahead and above the trigger.

From what I read in the C.C of Canada, the PS90 is legal to own, just the ammo (5.7 x 28mm) is prohibited because it can penetrate armor.

Um.... any rifle can penetrate armor, hell my $100 norinco tokarev can penetrate a level iiia vest with the 762x25 ammo. In any case I believe Questar tried to import it and the US did not want to export, thus it will be hard to obtain one.

(on a side note the 5.7 ammo does come in armor piercing, but it also comes in plain jane varieties as well.)

I would shell out the money for a PS90 in .22 mag or .17 HMR. It's funny how those little rimfires are already approaching the velocity/energy of the 5.7 round.

Bullpup stocks are prohib, not bullpup guns. Read the "when combined with a firearm" part.

Real bullpups don't have a "stock" to combine. If you can change the stock then it's a bullpup stock.

why would it need a curved wiener mag? thats totally ###

I say just fire those biatches as fast as you can with straight mags. 22 would be best... could this be a home built proj for someone?

we need more machinists on the site to innovate and build some cool SAFE rimfire replicas

Just typing what the Criminal Code sayes, and you know as well as me, someone that does not know firearms will say that since it said it in the Criminal Code, they will think all 5.7 is armor piercing, there for all 5.7 is prohib.

This is true, and the problem is that these "people" who don't know firearms are in a position to make laws and pass legislation that affect people who do know firearms. It's ridiculous. [/RANT] :p

As far as the original question, if it were chambered in .17HM2 (.22LR necked down to .17 cal) or .22LR one of those mags would probably hold a couple hundred rounds, maybe even as high as 300  Think 2 or 3 100-round bricks of CCI lined up end-to-end :D The mag design is unique because the rounds are already held sideways (ie; perpendicular to bore centreline), but at the end of the mag they're turned longitudinal for chambering (ie; parallel to bore centreline). I see no reason to change it, just adapt the design to feed rimfire rounds reliably. I'd buy one, if they existed  Get on it...
