Don't even have to look to know what video you're talking about gents.
Took a lot of courage, or a lack of brains, to do those stunts.
I do feel they are stunts though. And no matter how much he knows his quarry, no matter how good, or how cool a shot he is, they are damned stupid stunts IMO.

Looks decidedly like a guy trying to sell his 'I'm so tough' videos. Especially as his 'office' is in Arizona. Licenced African professional hunters always have client references available on their sites. The new Capstick he ain't.

I bet his luck will run out soon. Why would you even want to do that? It will serve him right when he gets trampled. His double rifle really has some knock down power but I bet he has locals carry for him. I would love to take him back to NF and see him try that on a bull moose in thick bush.

Definitely different, thats for sure.

Not having watched any of his full length videos, the only thing I did notice was that he certainly didn't get too close to the Cape bufflao in the promo.

I wonder why that is? ;)

Sensationalism pure and simple. This is the stuff the antis can use against us in the quest to get hunting to be a thing of the past. We try and be roll models for our children and bring them up to respect wildlife. This isn't respect this is a slaughter.

So shooting a charging hippo on dry land at 10 feet is slaughter?

If that is slaughter then what about the normal way of hunting them... you know... poping one laying in the water at 40 yards from the safety of the bush?

As far as I know MS WILL NOT shoot a hippo in the water as he believes it to be slaughter....he states this in his movies and he is correct

All sports have their extremes.
riding a bike bears hardly any resemblance with dirt-bike races.
going on a hunting trip - deep in the mountains - all the preparness- just to shoot you quarry in front of your cabin porch - all beacause it happened to be there....
Let's not pretend we're cats with bells around our necks.

Antis hate us and everything about us with such a vengeance..... it is useless to try to please them.

I think the difference is this is intentionally ochestrated to make this guy like some big Hiawatha. It makes as much sense as making a video of bears which have been enticed to charge and shooting them at close range.
