Its my favorite way to eat Geese but then again, its the only way I have ever eaten goose, and its fantastic.

-Put 2 goose breasts (or more if you want but 2 is usually plenty for a family meal) in your crock pot/slow cooker about 24 hours before you plan to eat it.
-Put a can of apple juice in with the breasts so that they are completely covered and cook on LOW for about 23 hours.
-Drain the juice and add your favorite brand/flavor of BBQ sauce and tear it all apart with a couple large forks until it looks like pulled pork and the BBQ sauce is mixed in good
-Cook for 1 more hour on LOW stiring it occasionally and then serve with buns or rolls for PULLED GOOSE ON A BUN

open season soon, cant wait to try this one out, sounds really good.
i have done goose thighs in the slow cooker in the past with
wine and potatoes, came out really good but i gotta give this one a try as well.

I've done this too, with slight differences. I soaked the breasts overnight in a sal####er brine (or milk) then cut them into strips along the grain. Crock pot on low for 10-ish hours with an onion or two sliced up, salt & pepper to taste and a can of beer. After the 10 hours remove goose meat and discard the rest. The breast strips will pull apart into "strings" which you then throw back inthe crockpot with your favourite BBQ sauce for another session on low until up to temp. Same as above serve on a fresh buttered kaiser or similiar type of bun. I will say that just like KFC I personally think pulled goose is better left over. For some reason to me it tastes better re-heated in the microwave the next day after spending the night in the fridge.

we used to roast a goose with stuffing, until Doug told me that that is the worst way to do a goose. He suggested goose jerky, which is awesome. The slow cooker method sounds great. I'm going to try it soon. Still got 5 geese in the freezer!

Done this as well. Tastes very good. Also great because "pulling" the goose apart makes it easy to find any stray pieces of steel shot that the breast may have in it.

will it work in a 10 hr cook time? My slow cooker is maxed out at 10 hrs.

X2 on the goose jerky. A buddy introduced me to this when he got his Bradley smoker. Delish.
