After receiving a clean bill of heath from my eye doctor today,I just bought a Wilson Combat Classic Stainless.I wanted an accurate, well made 1911,and since my nearest gunsmith is 300 miles away,it had to be very reliable as well. Now I will have both a .45 cal 1911,and a .22 version as well.Due to recent retinal issues,I decided to sell all of my rifles that produced significant recoil, and from now on I will spend my range time with my handguns, and with a heavy 700-5R that I just purchased. The Wilson certainly wasn't cheap, but since I have sold almost all of my rifles, with only one more to go,I am still money ahead by a considerable margin.
