Put up your mausers!!

Fugawi, I'd pretty much do anything for that one, nice rifle, thanks for showing:)

You're welcome Joe. I need a better camera (I'm using my pocket deer cam). There are cartouches on the right buttstock and underneath the wrist plus more stamps on the receiver (K98 - just visible) and bolt.

Great condition and rare! I'd give my left nut for one of them.

Thanks Kurgan. Its matching with a German bolt (which is correct for a Polish K98 of this vintage, the bolt handle ball has a beautiful crisscross pattern on the flat inner side) and has no German capture marks on it.

We need Stoggie to post his Polish mausers!

And his lovely East German parade Mauser !

Some spectacular rifles, and collections here. Here are the few I currently call my own.

Top to bottom..."Newest" to oldest...

1. Pretty much bog-standard RC K98. Unpeened and no "X", but otherwise has all the other Russian "upgrades."
Not a rare code - a 1940 "42" - but bought that combo for a specific reason (see #2 below)

2. A short Mauser...1940 "42" P08 - a very special item to me as it was brought home to Canada by my father who served in Europe. All matching including the mag and in very good shape.

3. 1906 DWM Gew 98 - w/ regimental markings

4. And the earliest one - DWM OVS "Boer" Mauser - This one made it to South Africa and was personalized/carved by the burgher who carried it.

Doug 2500 that is a nice Gew 98.

Thanks, I picked it up in you neck of the woods at the Calgary Gun Show a couple of years ago. It looked to be all matching, right down to the cleaning rod, but on closer inspection, the cocking piece is not the original (or the muzzle protector), but the rest is!

Paid $550, which I consider to be a great deal anyway. The bore is a little rough, but the gunsmith said I can shoot it, which I have. Accuracy is low however.

Some very nice guns here guys. Thanks for all the pics.

Here is a "z" block, byf 41 of mine. Solid walnut, Luftwaffe marked, lots of serial numbers on this one, stock, buttplate, action screws, bands, bolt, bayo mount, beat up a bit but has some nice grain through the grip.

Here's my modest Mauser collection.
1. Well, it's really a Mauser wannabe: Norinco JW-25A
2. Yugo M48A.
3. Norwegian K98k in 30-06. The entire gun is all 100% original German ser # matching 1940 Steyr built(code 660), except bolt handle and buttplate matching norwegian #. This is a HAER model, built for army. And original German sling:)
