quality of of marstars 1919a4

I'm also not a huge Norinco fan, but who said this gun was in any way connected to Norinco? Marstar sells a whole lot more than just Norinco.

Well,
I'm sorry if i "offended" anyone...but i've seen a few Norinco products and their not real great just out of the box. Maybe my standards are just too high. but its my point of view and I intend to defend it. sorry for me "bursting" onto the forums like this...

I have a few examples of what I've seen and I dont like. the M-14 that marstar distributes from Norinco have chipped stocks and the wood finish is poor...also on a few pistols I'm not real crazy about them either.

NOW one thing I wouldnt know about is the quality of their semi-auto MG replica's.

how are they accurate at 100yards?

anything thats not in a 3-4 inch isnt good for me...

Oh my god! why is everyone against me! some are good rifles some are not.
thats all I said and everyone is trying to boot me now...dont give me a bad reputation already...

PS: why do I have a red light?

You do understand the difference between a rifle and a (semi) MG, don't you? Tight groupings are generally not a characteristic of a MG.

paperpuncher i guess what people are saying is don't judge a gun by its cover just because a gun is't finished perfectly and is nice and shiny does't mean its a peace of crap the m-305 is a pretty decent gun for the price chipped stock or not

No1paperpuncher, you have to have thick skin to come on here and give opinions.
Stick to your guns if you think you're right. I always hated the idea of guns made in China, but I remember as a kid we laughed at things marked "made in Japan".
No one's laughing at Honda's and Toyota's now.
I have no doubt that products made in China will get better and better until the industialized west is sent back into third world status!

But hey, they still need our resources.

At 100 yards they do just what they were designed to do.Area denial you moron.

I'm not sure if personal insults enhance your viewpoint or just make you look like a troll who has been a member here for three years and never bought a thing.

Everyone has to understand that there is a constant influx of new members who may be just as dedicated as us in the fight to keep guns in civilian hands.

This kind of post just sends them away.

You you don't.

How ever, if you come on here slagging BS based on "pictures you've seen" which have no bearing on the discussion what so ever, then be prepared for a #### storm. You even admit it, "one thing I wouldn't know about is the quality of their semi-auto MG replica's." then why did you speak up spouting horse ####?

For example, if I said, "I've seen pictures of super models and therefore the Chevy Malibu is a terrible car", you see how stupid I make myself look. You gave an opinion based on pictures that had nothing to do with the subject at hand.

We have nothing against opinions, if you can back them up with a reason for your conclusion.

Actually no, you said the products are junk and we should "trust you" because you "closely studied" pictures on the internet.

Get real.

Three what kind of years? And just what has this thread to do with purchases of mine?

I am naturally suspicious about anyone who can be a member here for twenty-four hours and not find something to buy in the exchange forum.:D

I am also worried about scaring people out of our sport by hurling insults. We all have to learn to stick with opinions we can back up but we can't afford to use beligerance to turn someone off our sport.

Sten collector, One barfly, I seem to recall that in the forces, the C-5 machine gun had this dovetail base on the left(?) side of the receiver, probably for a night sight, have you thought about putting some kind of optic sight on the receiver and try for single shot accuracy? I would imagine the open bolt firing mechanism would be off set by the heavy weight of the gun and the stability afforded by the tripod? Just a thought. FT

I mounted an Elcan on mine for one of the shoots at Wolverine's.I used the night vision bracket which has a dovetail on the top. There is no inherent dovetail on the gun itself, rather the bracket on the gun for the rear sight has a slot and a couple threaded holes on which various brackets can be mounted.

Despite the heavy barrel, and the relative stability of the tripod, the accuracy is still poor due to things such as slop in the barrel jacket, and wear on either the barrel bearing or the end of the barrel itself.

The biggest obstacle to trying to get accurate sniper type shooting out of one of these is that it is difficult to restrain oneself from shooting the thing as fast as one can until the belt runs dry. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Neat, you know that's interesting because I remember seeing somewhere pics of GI's in Korea using an M2-HB with what looked like a scope with external adjustments for really long range sniping. Scope and mg were converging at about maybe a 8 degree angle. Does not the M2-HB fire from an open bolt? Regards, FT

1919s and M2s both fire from a closed bolt

The Marstar guns are capable of rifle like accuracy

Now stop fighting, everyone....buying chinese guns supports baby killing

I can easily hit clay birds are 100 yrds one i figure point of aim the markings on the T&E and the tripod seem to have little bearing as to wear im shooting same with the rear sight adjustments

they will do exactly what they were designed too WORK and be able to hit a man sized target I put some of those B-27 E targets at 50 M 75 M and 100 Meters and was easily able to put rounds in the center mass its just a matter of walking the rounds up to/over to the target

Sorry,
I went over another subject. When i was talking about "not so good" I was talking about the Norinco firearms that marstar sells. Are the 1919a4's Norinco?

"quality of of marstars 1919a4"

PS. Lets just move along and forget about this
