Quality of Turkish made shotguns?

^^^ not picking on you but how much time would have to pass.

We don't seem to have much trouble with Italian made guns despite the fact that most of those companies, which were around at the time, had no issue with Mussolini. In fact, Beretta supplied rifles to the Italian army in WWII that no doubt mowed down more than a few Canadian Soldiers. Or how about those sought after Japanese built rifles and shotguns with US companies names on the side - but both of those were WWII things and that was a long time ago.

Or even CZ which was part of the Soviet Union until 1990 - hardly what one could call a "democracy".

And many here certainly have no issue with Chinese or Russian milsurps made in those bastions of human rights and political freedom.

So if we are honest, as a group, we really don't let politics or human rights effect what we want to buy if we like it, want it or think it's cool....

True, but it's not so much a simple matter of time, than it is the prevailing philosophy of the country of origin. The USSR was a not a good place to live if you didn't tow the party line... (100 million victims of that regime). While there is plenty of talk these days about Putin, far as I know from objective perspectives is that I could visit Russia today and not be harassed for no cause. The prevailing philosophy there now is different than it used to be. The same thing with Czech Republic, though China your point is valid. I have no Norincos and I've always resisted milsurp on account that I am biased toward precision rifles. CZ/BRNO, has a special place in my heart for the classics they continue to produce (rifle and calibers) where most other manufacturers have "progressed".

But that's just me... ;)
