Questars new 10 rnd .223 ar15 mags....

Got my new springs today. Everything is working perfectly, and its holding the bolt catch open on empty and after last round which none of my other 5 did.

Oh, so a visual check of the spring will tell you it's the wrong one right away? I haven't had a chance to try any out yet, but this looks like a good way to tell!

Friend of mine works at wholesale and he said the guy in charge of the hunting section said that the government is working on legislation about the 10round thingy.

LOL too funny

Wow, people with a: "hunting is the only acceptable purpose for a firearm" idea are so irritating.

As if the CPC really cares about mag capacity..

Believe it...
Gun shop staff are the only source of reliable, accurate and up to the minute information re. firearms legislation.

I got my 4 from CRAFM and no response from those guys about new springs, can I just buy some and some of those tactipuls as the magpul ranger plates do not allow 10rds either.

I installed the Magpul Ranger floorplates, because i like the "asymetric" feature which tells you just by touch if you mag is in the good direction (bullets towards muzzle ;) ).

Anyway, to get the full 10rds capacity back with Ranger plates, you have to cut the grey magpul follower legs to a total lenght of 24mm (this actually gives 10.5 rds, so the full mag locks on a closed bolt). You can use a dremel and file or a small metal saw.

Instead of starting a new thread, who carries the ranger floor plates? MArk says he's on vacation, and I don't want to wait.

The Wolverine ones I bought on Saturday were wrapped in factory plastic. How does Wolverine modify them to hold 9?

You misunderstood... the mag's capacity becomes reduced to 9 rds only when you install Magpul Ranger floorplates on them. Wolverine distributes both the 10rds RRA mags and Magpul products. If you want the ranger plates installed by wolverine when you purchase the mag, i guess this is possible.

BTW, did anybody get FTF (failure to feed) with these mags. It happened with one of mine (even after installing the correct 10rd springs) and I saw it happen again with someone else's mag this weekend.

DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!

Why Does it always happen to me. I just ordered 6 of these from Wolverine with the Ranger plates and they NEVER mentioned that the capacity would be gimped to 9 rounds  So tell me does anyone have an idea as to how much you need to take off the front and or rear portion of the follower? (wonder how many I will scrap doing that?) Does using a standard USGI follower return the capacity of the mag to 10 rounds? (not likely, bet it puts it to 11/12)

Thanks
Moe

6 mags + 2 packs of ranger plates(6 plates) + tax + shipping = about $310 and they couldn't tell me about this glitch
