hmm...
that looks really unusual.
It wasnt my call for the gun to go back to the states. It had gone back to FN Sports 3x for a broken trigger spring, and every time it came back, they had screwed it up with either a part missing, or improperly installed.
I made a lot of noise about it, phoned Springfield myself and complained about the Canadian service, and The excellent staff at williams Arms had made a heated phone call to the distributor as well.
After that, it ended up at Springfield Armory USA. Maybe they told the distributor to send it back, I dont know.
But in the end, it came back to me in perfect condition and completely rebuilt. Pretty nice!
So, leason learned is that distributors are just buisness people, shippers recievers. They dont necessarily have anyone qualified to work on firearms, even though they are resposible for warrantee repairs.
Your repair is very easy. You just need the parts. A call to Springfield may help and they can let you talk to someone in their tech department to answer questions about assembly, dissassmbly, etc.
But bare in mind, everything to do with firearms and parts coming out of the states requires a lot of patience.
You have to use your back up pistol in the mean time.
What ??? You dont have a back up pistol ??? Time to go shopping man !!!
good luck..
